    I work at a auto parts store and get most of my wheaties from customers that don't know what they have. Not only pennies, I have got war time nickels and silver!

    Watching from New Orleans. Good grief this is gonna be project. I have a Lincoln Memorial Cent collection, that I haven't sorted. I seriously stopped circulating these coins just a few to four years ago. I now save old nickels, dimes and quarters. I'm very encouraged by your video. I could have thousands of dollars in my collection. 😮 Its time to sort it all.

    Hi Blue-Great refresher. Always very grateful the time and knowledge you share. I AM Praying for a few big scores. I am so toasted from working six days a week. I handle coins and FRNS every day-a new batch. Looking through it all gives a reason to tolerate wasting anymore of my life there. I have seen the very poor quality of the 2000 and up pennies. They get the tiny little bit of "covering" that's there scratched off real fast so I've kept hundreds of the best ones. I figure in 20 years I may need some liquidity and those beauties may be hard to come by-or they will be extinct and worth that much more.

    Thanks for the info. Wasnt sure of key dates, because i hear others say "its a key date". But you clarified it for me. I've been researching about different varieties for about two years and picking here and there mainly pocket change or from the cash box at my job. Im going to get a usb microscope to check the ones ive collected already, need to get some coin flips for the ones im planning to keep, and I Just purchased a unsearched roll of wheatties about two weeks ago from ebay. Seller has good feedback and a few years selling, so hoping for a good roll. And, i have to get some bank rolls, which I've been planning to do for the past year or so and never did. Oh, and need to get a cherrypickers guide. Anyways, like always, thanks for the extra info..hope all is well, and God Bless..

    I started with wheaties, then started roll hunting for coppers and bu coins, now I have been looking for errors and varieties. My best finds would probably be some die clashes, found some machine doubles but they aren't valuable like a true DD. Amazing what passes through pocket change that you would never know without magnification.

  • @Wasteland88
    @Wasteland88 6 лет назад +2

    I've managed to find every major double die error from 2011 to 2015 and I've also got a couple of nice 2017 p's also that are doubled on the obverse that as far as I know haven't been attributed yet.

    That was one of best that I can remember you doing. You have done so many good ones, I may be wrong. All in all it was one of your top ones. It will not only help the beginners but some of us that like me, have gotten over my head in not starting with one coin and staying with that until you want to go on to learn the other coins. I am new to coin collecting and I have a ton of change that I had in jar for years. Is there a book or anything that would help me while I go through the coins and I can it as a reference as to what coins I should be looking for and to see what each coin is worth while I go through a lot of change, I hope that makes sense

    Question: why are the S mint mark Pennies cheaper? Compared to the D and P?

  • @SilverHeist
    @SilverHeist 6 лет назад

    I just did my first CRH box of pennies. Plan on a book, wheaties jar, and a glass 5 gal jug of memorial coppers.
    The Zinc coins were nasty. 10 yrs from now, I think the zincs will be a mess-compared to copper wheaties stored in mason jars for decades.

    usually I just take my loss change and place them in coin rolls and I'm thinking about taking them out of the rolls and sorting them by date? What's a good way to keep track of coins? I am thinking of getting a little booklet and writing down what I have?

    another great video. as far as modern lincoln cents, I tried and after searching 6 $25 cases and finding nothing but 1950's wheats and developing some severe eye trama, i have decided on just focusing on cents that appear to be toning well, carding them and waiting to see what they look like in 10 years

    On my tails side of a penny it doesn't have a building or shield it just say one cent united states of America with two feathers on each side could that be valuable

  • @markpippin5437
    @markpippin5437 5 лет назад

    Since the crappy shield pennies came out, the memorial cents look like antiques. They are no longer just pennies anymore, just like the old style nickels are not just nickels. More people are saving the old nickels now.
