- In June of 2020, Big Z, Ian, Rich, and Ben, along with a couple filmers Brian and Bryan, set out to tackle what we could of the WA Backcountry Discovery Route. This is a mapped trail that goes from Oregon to the Canadian border right along the Cascade Mountains in Washington state. Meant for adventure motorcycles, we decided it would be more adventurous on UTVs! Join us on this leg of the journey as we see just how far South we can get from Conconully, WA. This is Day 3!

Did you go by Badger mtn? It has great views.
The BDR trail takes you more SW than Badger and more follows the Cascade range.
What road do we take out of Wenatchee to get to Chelan
Awesome video, my buddies want me to ride along on the Wyoming BDR but I dont feel like camping so light riding my dirt bike so thought about my X3. Do you need to be street legal to ride the BDR? I thought it was just for dual sport-adventure bikes...But I guess jeeps too. What about UTV?
You only need street legal if you’re traveling roads that require you to be. In many cases, there’s alternate routes or back roads that avoid traffic etc. This is one of the parts of pre-trip research helps. You don’t have to stay on the BDR, feel free to modify as you see fit! 😎🤘

I used USFS maps on my GPS the entire route. Every route was legal.
If you checked with the Ranger district or Sherriff, they would disagree. You guys are terrible ambassadors for the sport.@@SXSGuys
Do you have insurance for when you round a corner at 50 mph and hit a motorcycle?
We never round corners at 50mph… also we had a lead car that would radio out traffic, animals, or otherwise hazards. If we wanted to rip and have fun, we always cleared the route first. Most of the riding was just at cruising speed anyways. We weren’t trying to make land speed records 🤣🤘

Not trying to set a land speed record, but yet trying to cover 300 miles in a day. That’s not a snails pace.

This is why we can't have nice things. Just hope you don't plow some innocent dude off of the mountain just minding his own business going at that pace.
