It took me 2 weeks to learn it and do it smooth... I mean really smooth.. Super smooth and fast too... It took me 2 weeks... So yeah.. You can do it too.. And I learned it by using a pen mod.
Yeah, the pinky is the trickiest to use, since no one does at least usually. It took me about 10 minutes to successfully pass between three ,,slots" with no problem other than my pencil slides a bit between transitions, but that's easily compensatable in next switch. Thanks for the tutorial, can't wait to see the others.

Granted the pinky is also difficult since its difficult to fold but after a while i managed to do it properly with a few fails here and there but the middle finger has been messing me up a lot. (For all those losing hope cus of ur pinky being wonky or short. My pinky is rlly short and due to certain circumstances during my birth my pinky is really stiff but im managing fine ^^ pinky fingers are weak since we dont use it as often as most fingers but practice fixes most things)
I just learned the sonic and I discovered a REALLY cool combo using the sonic, thumbaround, and some random thing I can't even explained, but WOW, is it smooth and fast

Am I the only one that struggles to keep grip of the pen in the middle? It always shifts and I end up holding the top or bottom of the pen I'm using... ;-;
Took me 5 tries to do one solid pass. But thats because at school im constantly passing from 1-2 to 2-3 and back constantly. Or jumping from 1-2 to 3-4. I just randomly start spinning my pens anyway so it was easier. Im left handed too
I've been doing finger pass with a spoon or other objects I get my hands on, even on a bread knife lmao, and I just got a pen spinning thingamajig today and practicing the finger pass
I learned how to do it pretty quick but its still not smooth or fast yet. I'll update my progress and see how long it takes. Btw I'm using a normal pen since I don't have time to buy the special and easier kind. Day 1: I learned to do the movement but still practicing to make it fast.

I completely forgot about prn spinning for 10 months after day 1 BUT I did order an actual pen designed for pen spinning and it supposed to come in 3 days. I probably will forget about it like I did the first time and I definitely won't be recording my progress bc I completely suck at that. @@lurgnitp Alright so extremely late update. I've forgotten about pen spinning for a few months. I've been extremely busy with school and just completely forgot. Over the summer I did buy an Ivan Pen Mod and I've definitely improved. All the tricks are much easier to do with a pen mod. I've mastered down all the basics and their reverses except Sonic (still can't do that one even though it is simple to everyone else.) My finger pass has gotten a lot smoother, and everyone has just been easier. I believe if I put more time into pen spinning I would have been a pro now but I just get lazy. I don't pen spin every day, only once a week maybe 2, not too often. All I know is the basics just so I can do them for fun in class. If you want to actually learn how to pen spin professionally then you'll have to practice more than me and not forget about it. Also buy a pen mod if you don't have one. They are sooo much better than normal pens, at least for me. It really helped me understand some of the moves more.
It took me 4 minutes to fully pass the pen without dropping it the most difficult one for me is probably passing the pen to my pinky finger using my ring finger the pen just slips away lol but i think I'll be able to learn it in a few days
I recommend that if you are not using a mod then you should start with your fingers being closer to the cover so when it gets to your pinkie it's easier
3:15 my main issue with this trick. From this position I am unable to lift my middle finger as it gets blocked by my ring finger on it's way up. Does this happen to anyone else?
Took me 8 days to do the full fingerpass althought its not really smooth but im proud of myself that i actually did it TIP: don't try to do it like me cuz i did it on a BIC pen 💀 i recommend using it on a lighter pen mod like bictory or else ur pinky will get very tired
A trick that I found useful which might also help you guys: When holding the pen between your index and middle finger, try to hold it in the first third of the pen. Basically imagine the pen to be divided in 3 parts and try to grip it somewhere in the middle of the 1st third. Hope this helps.

I made my first mod by taking a 23 inch paintbrush and took the brush off then put tape on both sides until it was balanced
