Mon Calamari ships have to be some of the greatest ships, not because they have the biggeat armor or best weappnry, but because of the back up shield generators and good fighter compliment they typically have, not to mention the Mon Calamari shipyards were really good at making the ships compatible with multiple different modifications and such, honestly some of my favorite ships in the star wars universe
In all fairness they dont (MC90 being the exception until disney started throwing out different numbers, but we still see them get destroyed in a single volley (Battlefront 2)) lack enough firepower to go stand up in battle even with 3 times the shield generators. If an ISD converted troop and shuttle space to starfighters, it would have far more starfighters than any MC. The MCs just get lots of plot armor and words on paper, no real demonstrations in writing (novels) or in film.
@@codycroft6311 what do you mean my guy? They got an excellent love in EU/legends. MC80B, MC90 dreadnaughts. They got much better love than the Disney universe. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
@@johnbrowning1232 I mean, underwater buildings made into starships. I mean, everyone ship is different. I mean, their luxury liners or transports not warships. Disney made a lot of bad decisions, but throwing out the hold EU wasn't one of them.
@johnbrowning1232 I think what he means is there are very few captains/admirals/generals who chose (or writers chose) to have or use Mon Cals as either their command ship or the mainstay in their fleets. It was always captured or new ISDs or even new SD types.
@ Han Solo commanded the Mon Remonda during the hunt for Zsinji. Rogue squadron operated off of Mon Cal Ships during a lot of there travels. During the Vong war Mon Cal ships were a standard of the fleets. If you read the back story part of the issue was the ships aren’t really designed for non Mon Cal beings. Screens where of a different spectrum than comfortable for humans and same with environmental controls. That was something addressed with the MC90 and newer classes.

You know that A ship is like by fans is when it's gets put in games.
She could beat a Dreadnought Heavy Cruiser but a Victory 1 would take her down. Still a good intermediate ship.
The best new canon Mon Cala ship. The Starhawk is the best new canon warship though.

I love Mon Cala ships but the treatment they get in EU or Legends is horrific.

I'll stick to a Star Destroyer
Serious plot armour! The only reason why this thing survived space but even more serious it is such an ugly looking ship
I thought it resembled more of a BC-304 then a Battlestar.
