- Play along duet video for the Bourree from Lute Suite No. 1 in Em by J.S. Bach (1685-1750). Play both repeats: I play part 1 the first time, part 2 the second time. Part 2 is in BASS CLEF and I use TONGUE PIZZICATO. Music is embedded in the video for educational purposes.

🎉 that's very nice, I loved.
I am glad you enjoyed the duet.
Great fun. Thank you so very much. Great start to my weekend!
Happy you enjoyed it.
loved your way to play
Thanks. It's a bit of fun.
I know this is late, considering your video is 3 months old by now, but you are talented, and I hope you can improve even more, I’m trying to learn this on guitar, and from my knowledge, this is very hard on any woodwind instrument, especially considering the throat singing you have to do for the bass, so good job!
Very good tutorial, if I ever play a woodwind instrument I’ll check this out
The Bourree is a fun piece. Here's another version I've played with a guitarist you might enjoy: ruclips.net/video/G2uCJR0XNuI/видео.html
I just got some memories from a few months ago from learning this
Hope you've enjoyed it.
thanks
You are most welcome.

@@aemckennon thank you ! Amazing video !!
❤
Thank you.
Gee Baby, Ain’t I Bouree To You?
¿Whats is the signature of this instrunen?
The flute is a C instrument. The music is in Em. (I did not tune before playing, so it may not be A=440)
How long is a reasonable amount of time for a never-played-flute-before 70 y.o. neophyte to learn the treble clef of the piece you just showed us? I know that’s not an easy question, but just give me a ballpark estimate.
There is no standard answer and there are too many variables than can influence a student's path regardless of age. Every student is different, even with the same teacher. This melody has lots of accidentals. For a true beginner, I'd recommend something simpler. Things that help progress: any musical background, consistent practice, manual dexterity & coordination, critical listening with music, educational resources. www.flutetunes.com has fingering charts and music categorized by difficulty level.
@@aemckennon Thank you for this valuable response. 🙂
Howww???
I provide some explanation in the video. Happy to help if you'll tell me exactly what is causing trouble.
Jethro Tull's version is infinitely better. The way you play it sounds like a beginner and boring.
@lucasa.a4495 This is the way Bach wrote it 300 years ago. (Except he wrote it for lute, not flute) The Tull version is a modern take and I've done that too: ruclips.net/video/G2uCJR0XNuI/видео.html
