  • The Liberal government has spent $500 Million on Canada 150 events, including Parliament Hill’s new ice rink. What a cluster-duck.

    One good thing about the rink; peewee hockey tourney for kids all over canada. This could have been done anywhere that already exists...maybe a run down arena that they could have spent a small fraction of that money to fix up. Also its not going to be open for 3 months. Its going to be open for 3 WEEKS. At a cost of around $217000 per day.

      8Bunkface8 it used to be that kids skated on any ice surface they could. Parks put up rinks , usually one for hockey and the other for recreational skating. Fine, municipalities paid using tax dollars. These rinks stayed up until spring. Kind of a tradition. What on earth was this p,m. thinking when he decided to build his designer rink? A skating rink in Canada with restrictions! When I think of the cost I feel impotent rage. WTF is this idiot doing! The holidays are coming soon. I don't think many Canadians would object if that money was used to help struggling families provide a nice Christmas for their children or get entertainment for kids in hospitals. But this!!! He building monuments to his ego.

      I don't know what the problem is with the duck. It has travelled every major city in europe.
      What are they always fighting for chump change in Alberta for????
      That's the difference in between oil rich Qatar and Dubay when you visit, and oil rich Alberta when you check it out. You know what I mean. ?
      They don't even have roads in Alberta it is precarious.
      NDP and Liberals are just investing in it now.
      Things aren't free and I don't understand conservatives always freaking out about debt and blaming immigrants.
      Every canadian kid they have owes like $120k for post secondary and getting jobs at starbucks, no one complains. Who do you think will pay those debts?
      Immigrants in a few years will be working full time.

    • @a.salmon8193
      @a.salmon8193 6 лет назад

      lospaisas original In Europe it didn't quite work out that way so I can't see how we will be different. But it's possible. I don't think immigration is a problem at all. What worries me is how he's doing it. ISIS, no less. Trudeau is spending so much money it will take a very long time to get the deficit under control. I'm doing 2 jobs already with a third lined up for Christmas. Ridiculous. My mother raised 5 children on an elementary school teachers paycheck. We had a house. My dad died. Trudeau will go back to whatever lifestyle he chooses but many Canadians are working until 70 already. We cannot keep this up. But we can hope for the best ☺🇨🇦

      And I agree anyone has to be concerned with the ISIS veteran dual citizens threat.
      But in my humble very experienced opinion with Law Enforcement, I say CSIS is lying to Canadians.
      These 'fighters' were nithing more than CSIS' assets informants.
      One of them came out on CBC news the other day using a punching bag on camera and complaining that CSIS was using him as an asset and now will not let him work.
      Yaciane Meziane on November 22nd on the National.
      CSIS and RCMP know full well who these guys are and aren't charging them. Using it as conservative weapons in parliament when in reality THEY KNOW full well whatever they did and keep it a secret.
      Believe me you it is no different than the Iran/Contra scandal.

    • @a.salmon8193
      @a.salmon8193 6 лет назад

      lospaisas original it is becoming confusing getting bits and pieces of information and trying to see the whole picture. Why don't the liberals denounce the conservative claim about ISIS? Why the payments to muslims? How are we to believe anything Trudeau says? I don't believe all the conservatives say either but their narrative better fits my political leanings. We will never get the truth about anything from politicians. Manipulation from all sides.

    In Winnipeg health care needs more funding and bus fare's going up a quarter instead of the annual 5 cents but you know... ice rink.
    I just want to point out a rink is basically ice with a fence. So why so much and why not a bunch of smaller ones so more communities could have one ? While I'm ranting I'm disappointed in the homeless problem. Despite opinion on them finding a frozen dead body in the bus shack can be a traumatic experience. For all the money being spent on talking about it you could have inflatable concrete homes purchased and set up as villages. Their cheap , last a long time , take 24 hrs to set up , and armies use them. Why not give them some practical use.

    The funny rules like no phone in the hockey rink are just so people don't try to fish lawsuits for getting hurt. Specially these money sharks that vote CONservative.
    Just impeding liability that's all.

    I say free Alberta from being land locked by making the south of B.C., Alberta, from the 54th parallel North to the 60th parallel North.

      S too bad you weren't born when dinosaurs were roaming Alberta. The province was a forest , warm and also split in two by a sea.

    The cognitive dissonance lnduced by the things this man says remind me of our former president. For the sake of your great nation, get rid of him as quickly as possible. Maybe he and Obama could go on the road together as a comedy act . They are two peas in a pod. The problem is they are not very funny. I prefer Burns and Allen myself.The sooner he and his insane policies are in the rear view mirror the better. Merry Christmas to our great neighbor to the north.
