Through marriages over the decades you'd be hard pressed to find a family that didn't have some Hispanic family members. In fact, "Whites" are now the minority in the area. The nearest two small cities, both 50 miles away, are 55% and 66% Hispanic respectively according the the US Census Bureau. I live 500 miles from Mexico. Myself, I'm pretty white but I'm also an immigrant -- I was born in Germany.
