I remember back when it opened, it had more ominous music and some things were more interactive. I remember that they did a competition right when it opened that whoever got the highscore by the end of the month (or year), they would have won a trip to New York City. I must have gone on it opening day, it was slightly overwhelmed by it since they said that they spent over 1 million euros on it, which if I can recall correctly was the most expensive ride on the history of Italian theme parks (maybe it didn't help that before the opening I went to Disneyland Paris and my favourite ride was the Buzz Lightyear shotting gallery one). But lo0oking back at it now, there's still some charm to it and they did put a lot of effort and craft behind it (especially if you compare it to the Minions Blast "ride"). Might go back to Mirabilandia one day just to see how it is in person again. Also there used to be different TV screens with a Professor explaining the virus and how to harvest it so that you can find a cure (the guy's face appears in the laboratory but back then he would talk to you and he appeared also at the end before taking the picture, congratulating you on the success of the mission)
thanks for the detailled info. I really enjoyed the ride as well, but you can see its age. I always find it sad when parks spend a lot of money on a ride, and then neglect it. Just keep it clean, see that everything works, and maybe a bit of paint here and there, and it would be a different story again.
The scenery of the buildings outside is now half-destroyed, last year there was Windows XP desktop on the monitors...
This year we seem to be doing some improvement work.
good to hear. I hope they also have some paint left for iSpeed... this ride definitely needs some TLC.
@@theme.park.videos yeah, it is. But I'm guessing because not a lot of people go on it. After opening day I wouldn't say that it was empty, but the queues were shorter than expected. I think the only reason guests do the ride now is to escape the heat (it's very ventilated inside if I remember correctly)
@@TapeSan1 Really? Windows XP in 2024 is mad, lol
