I like the fantastical idea of a panther wearing a wolf's camouflage and howling like one to attract its prey. Something a little different. Like from a graphic novel. Very interesting. Thank you brother!
This is my first comment although I have been a listener for past 1 year. I end my everyday with your voice listening to these amazing adventures again and again every night. Must have listen to every audiobook 100’s of time and still find them interesting. Thank you for another upload. Please never stop uploading god bless you ❤️
Thank you for making these audio adventures. Your reading and narration is top tier including your voice 10/10. I have listened to all your posts and I'm now a big fan of yours, can't wait for the next one.
@@selvalore hi...I'm based near Birmingham UK. Have had an interesting spiritual journey through covid. Now studying sound therapy..chanting drumming etc and Aum..so important right now. Thank you. Your stories and your voice have been a real blessing. 🙏
Awesome! You keep finding new and different authors for us to enjoy. The atmosphere in the first part of this story has some resemblance to the Canterbury tales.
Thanks Mr Viraj Singh for yet another exciting story. You have very nicely narrated this story bringing out the excitement of the chase . On hearing of the panther's camouflage I am reminded of the Chamala valley man eater... Thanks once again Mr Singh... I look forward to your stories.... Warm regards.
Haha, Harshat I hope you didn't think that I made that first howl myself. It was a wolf's howl alright, but to make it sound more "guttural" (as stated in the plot), I used an effect to make it heavier. It turned out weird, and almost sounds like an elk now as some commenters suggested :)
@@selvalore Hahaha :) It did sound spooky. I was listening ot it on headphones half asleep at night and then this sound got me up and about in a flash :)

It said in a different chapter of the book from where this story is taken, that these took place 20 years before the start of the Great War or WW1. So that places it sometime in the 1890's. Around the same time when the Jungle Books were written by Kipling and when Jim Corbett was still a youth.

@2:47 if I heard this outside in the dark at night followed by jackals, I would be hard pressed to not grab my whole gun collection, bar the doors and windows, and turn on all the lights.

According to some of your Kenneth Anderson readings, tigers also “camouflage “ as sandbar (hope I spelled it correctly)if I’m not mistaken

"Selva" translates into "jungle" or "rain forest". Many location names and locations are familiar.
Indeed, you got it! Selva Lore came from Jim Corbett's excellent book Jungle Lore. Not too clever, but its what I came up with at the time.
Great way to start the morning!
