Now you're already checking out some of my favourite bands without me needing to request them, what a pleasant surprise!🖤✨️🌙 My Dying Bride, the British legends of Doom Metal - for me personally (and this is just my opinion) the quality they evoke is so much above all the modern metalcore- and deathcore-stuff that is gaining so much popularity these days, but maybe I'm just old-fashioned despite not being old in age. Have you known that some members and ex-members of Draconian and My Dying Bride know each other and some even collaborated? Maybe this info doesn't surprise you after taking this deep dive into the masterpiece "Thornwyck Hymn" is, as both bands are bathing in gloom and tend to stick with slow tempo. But what a forerunner of the upcoming album "A Mortal Binding" this oceanic abyss is!🖤🌊 On top of that, Aaron is one of the nicest guys on earth, always the paramount example of a gentleman and heart-meltingly kind. Yes, Tommy, there's no alternative to checking out more, for example "Your Broken Shore" and "Feel the Misery"! Melancholy par excellence.🖤✨️🙏
I'm glad that you've enjoyed MDB. The band always creates such a beautiful and dreary soundscape to accompany Aaron (the singer) performance and lyrics. They're truly masters of their craft. This song only gives you a glimpse of their style; I hope you dive more into their music in the future. Thank you 🖤
My Dying Bride is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥…..you got to check out the album “Turn Loose the Swans” & “The Light at the End of the World”…..so dreary….yet so beautiful 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
This was really good. The music was slow and methodical, just some really good stuff. The vocalist has a style there own which works really well for them. Great stuff.
You definitely have to check out anything from "Turn Loose the Swans" album. "Your River" especially. For those of us who've been around and were there when they started, hearing those songs brand new with the violin, was something else...
Finally they did fine tuning of their instruments, very sharp and bright sound, love it. But from the composing perspective, their 2004 album is still unbeatable
I haven't really listened to them but their song "I Almost Loved You" is really haunting and beautiful in a tragic kind of way. And the singer was actually one of the guests on that Depeche Mode cover I mentioned a while ago.
This doom/gothic metal stuff is so awesome.. I have their 2006 release "A Line of Deathless Kings" and man! this album is amazing! So from this album, I'll suggest the song that got me introduced to them back in the days: Thy Raven Wings
So cool to hear some new MDB. I wasn't very familiar with the band and I'll admit that I'm super late to the Funeral ... uh party 😊, but they are pretty awesome. Aaron (the singer), took a rainy walk video during the pandemic, and totally endeared me to him thus making me wat to check out the band. I'm slowly going through their catalog but I really like 'A Map of all our failures". 🤘🤘
Everything is already said about this legendary band coming back! Just wanted to point out Aaron's vocal signature absolutely unique. Just like Bruce Dickinson or Freddie Mercury, you know it's him singing in less than one second! 🤘
The new stuff isint that great if your not familiar with there previous work i would imagine this is pretty good.. recommend diving into there long discography
This is the "my dying bride sound" !!!!
Good news! They’ve got 14 albums worth of great music with one more on the way. Love these legends.
Been a fan for over 30 years.
The worlds greatest band

I was going to recommend this one. I love the composition! Their early stuff is pretty good too. I think he sings in a lower key.
