What an awesome, honest video! We are going to Cabo for a friends wedding, this was so helpful. Our stay will be in an all inclusive (we’ve never done) so the price breakdown will be a bit different, also we’re flying from Colorado, so flight is a bit more as well. But great info all around! 👍🏼 thanks Keanu!
I found your channel by accident, looking for info on Cabo. I intended to watch just one video, and I ended up watching most of them in one day :D You have a grat voice and you really can tell a story without people wanting to fast-forward. I enjoyed watching your videos, great tips, very knowledgable and can't wait for more content! Thanks!
Hey Keanu love your videos! I'm planning a trip to Cabo and I will be referencing your videos when I go. And I also collect magnets of the places I visit. Sometimes I just look at them while I'm eating and take trips down memory lane. Lol
Thank you for the time and care you put into your videos. I'm going to cabo next year and will utilize your videos to the fullest! And yes, the magnet video! I'm here for it! 😊 I collect magnets as well, and each magnet has a story. We would love to hear yours... do it, do it, do it! (Said like a chant) lol
Glad you find the videos helpful! Enough people have commented about a magnet video so I am encouraged to do it…eventually! 😊 There are a few videos I plan to upload first!
I would love to see your magnet collection! It looks fascinating really. Magnets really are the best souvenirs. I am a new Travel Advisor and Cabo is my mom's favorite spot, so I really appreciate your videos! I am helping create a trip for her for later this year and your tips are coming in handy! It's been fun practicing mock proposals with a Cabo vacation in mind! Also, really loved that you shared your budget! I love tracking expenses and seeing how much it all ends up being. So helpful for all of us planners out there as well. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more of your videos! :)
I’m glad I could be of help! I hope you’re mom has a good time. And I agree, magnets make great souvenirs because I get to see them everyday when I open my fridge. Also, much less expensive than buying a sweater. If I do make a video on it, I’d want to highlight my favorite ones. Thanks for the comment 😃
Thanks for the video! The price breakdown was a great idea. So many videos out there show how awesome traveling can be but the cost of the experience isn't usually provided.
Thanks for explaining everything and breaking down the prices. It helped a lot to plan my trip.and i also collect travel magnet. Like to see your collection videos.
Great question. From my knowledge, it’s generally advised to not swim due to safety concerns, but technically there are no strict rules that disallow swimming. Hope that clarifies!
It really depends on where you are staying and what activities you have planned. For example, if you were staying in the tourist corridor and want to do exploring in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo, then renting a car for the entire trip for may be worth it for its convenience. But if you were staying in Cabo San Lucas at an all inclusive and you just want to lounge at your hotel or checkout the city center, then may be you don’t need to rent a car at all. I personally only rented a car for one day for the day trip to Balandra Beach, everything else we just took an uber or taxi. Hope that helps!
Out of the 2 hotels I stayed at…while the Solmar Resort is technically closer to the Marina, the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos is closer to the nightlife hub of the marina. For Pueblo Bonito, it’s like a mile walk to the nightlife hub. If you wanted to taxi/uber it, only a 5 min drive! In short, the Pueblo Bonito would be easier.
Okay, that's super cheap. We paid about 1600 pp for a week in the DR. Of course, it was all inclusive for 7 days. I'd love to see Cabo! Thanks for sharing.
Yes we had to pay a small, additional fee for Third Paty Liability, which is mandatory in Mexico. I was able to, however, not pay the collision damage waiver due to having a travel credit card.
This is super helpful. I'm considering to visit someday and I'm usually the planner when I travel with others. I don't like to scramble and panic when I get there when I can have some tips and preparation. So would it be best that I have pesos on me instead of using my credit card to have them convert it to pesos? My credit card doesn't have foreign transaction fee. I find that having some cash on me is helpful when I travel (just in case).
Hopefully, I am understanding your question correctly, but you do not need to have pesos on hand for them to charge you in pesos with your credit card. I also like having cash on hand just in case. I think having US cash (assuming that you are in the US) is more than fine and saves you the hassle of exchanging your money. Glad the video was helpful!
What dates or time of year are you going? I got a discount from using booking.com (genius level 2 and mobile phone discount) and we went on the weekdays.
If you can book ahead, then do that. If you can’t book ahead (for whatever reason), it’s not really an issue, there will be plenty of activities / vendors to still book with. The only thing you truly don’t need to reserve ahead of time is a water taxi to El Arco.
I think we got lucky with the timing. We went the week before the busy Christmas holiday. And we stayed during the weekdays. Also, it was $244 per night for the two of us (so $122 per person) -- sorry if I made it confusing. I'm curious where you are finding the 4k price. I just searched on Booking.com for Sept 2 to 5 for 3 nights and it is around $450 per night.
Yeah there’s no doubt that it is a touristy destination nowadays. But if you don’t mind the tourists, I think it’s a fantastic, beautiful destination that can make a very enjoyable vacation.

Thanks for all your tips dude! I’ll be in Cabo next week and I’m excited to explore, based on your recommendations! 😊
No problem! Enjoy Cabo 🤙🏼
Appreciate your Great advice. Going to Cabo this June 🥂🍾
You mentioned the pacific side beaches are not swimmable. What do you mean by that? Are there rules against swimming or is it a safety thing?
Great question. From my knowledge, it’s generally advised to not swim due to safety concerns, but technically there are no strict rules that disallow swimming. Hope that clarifies!
Love that you're sharing the cost as we are planning a 7-day trip to Cabo in August. Would you recommend us renting a car the whole time there?

Thanks for your video! If people wanted to hang at the Marina/do a lot of nightlife, which resort would you say was easier for that?
Out of the 2 hotels I stayed at…while the Solmar Resort is technically closer to the Marina, the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos is closer to the nightlife hub of the marina. For Pueblo Bonito, it’s like a mile walk to the nightlife hub. If you wanted to taxi/uber it, only a 5 min drive!

$1600 for the DR sign me up!
For the rental car did you have to pay for there mandatory country insurance?
Yes we had to pay a small, additional fee for Third Paty Liability, which is mandatory in Mexico. I was able to, however, not pay the collision damage waiver due to having a travel credit card.
Are there rental car stations in the marina area ?
Yes, several! A search on google maps can help you see which ones are next to your hotel.
How did you order the Uber? Did you you use the same app we use in the US and Canada?
Yep, the same app!
300th subscriber nice video going to cabo loved the content.
Ah thank you! 300 wooh 🙌

@@KeanuTravelsTo Yes, I'm from the U.S. Didn't know that I can have them charge me in pesos on my credit card. That's helpful, thanks!

I don't know how you got those prices at Pueblo Bonito Blanco. Its like 700$ per night everywhere I look. Same as any other resort in Cabo :(
What dates or time of year are you going? I got a discount from using booking.com (genius level 2 and mobile phone discount) and we went on the weekdays.

No. All my own.
Cabo is not what it used to be I really miss the good old days before all the big resorts and tourists
