We live in a peculiar era when people can afford to buy the most beautiful, well-made clothing in the world, have it expertly tailored, and look like a million bucks, but choose to spend most of their time in essentially oversized pajamas.
Exactly so nice to live in a world where woman can choose to wear whatever they want ,just a shame people are still so judgemental about it.She seems happy and that’s the main thing.
I like that she seems to enjoy her clothing. It may not be like archival incredible pieces, but that’s okay. I think as long as she appreciates and actually likes her clothes, which she seems to, she gets a pass. She actually pointed out certain pieces she loves, like the Ben and Jerry’s shoes and expresses appreciation at them being sent for free.
everyday i am upset by the fact that people who actually have money to buy nice clothes chose to live in matching sweat-sets while i search for a remotely decent non polyester blouse in the thrift store ... sigh
Polyester activates my fight or flight atp; when you start looking for natural materials in clothing, you realise JUST how much modern brands rely on synthetics (which do have a place e.g sportswear but sometimes I want a wool jumper of a cotton/silk blouse xbcbhc)

i dont know where abouts you live but ebay (and now vinted!) allow you to filter by fabric and the high-end or unbranded true vintage items you can find for next to nothing is astonishing. granted it takes a bit of time (and luck) and you can't try the garments on, but i have found absolute gold there :)

The treatment of books in this was driving me up the wall lol. All I could think about was how she could easily just buy a little book stand and display it next to the shoes if she likes the aesthetic that much. I do appreciate that she seems to actually love most of the clothes in her wardrobe and is able to pinpoint what she uses regularly and which ones are more special occasion items, but I personally will never understand people who like buying the same few items in every color imaginable.

Yes. I do the Mari Kon Modo envelop folding method and it’s so much easier to see everything. I do it for my husband’s T-shirt drawer too so he can finally see what’s what.
I did business development for around a year for a small semi-artisan fashion house in Italy, from that moment onwards I started to be more fashion-conscious, tbf before that job I didn't know much about designer brands, just the most famous ones. While looking for prospects I realised that there is a plethora of niche brands and designers, however her wardrobe is pretty mainstream. I think if you are a real fashion head you are more willing to experiment and looking for niche brands...at least this is my approach to music... probably I'm wrong, but I watched other channels where people get asked what they are wearing and it is usually a personalised combo of basics, second hands clothings, some hand-picked designers brands output and small/indie fashion houses pieces... that shows real commitment to the fashion sphere xo

I wish we could see a truly original closet tour. It's always the saaaame things on repeat. Give me different luxury brands, give me luxury sustainable brands, give me local artists, give me thrifted things. Give me something other than DIOR, CHANNEL, BIRKIN, GUCCI, BALENCIAGA. It's so strange for me seeing that many gym clothes in one person's wardrobe when I just own a handful myself (granted I'm not a sporty person). I'd invest my money in nice tops, trousers and dresses instead.
I know there were other things to check out, but the Fiorucci brought me back to junior high when I so desperately wanted those angels and rhinestones. My family drove past the store in NYC once and I nearly threw myself out of the car when my dad refused to stop. I never got anything because it was all too expensive. Utter teenage angst. Also, agree about the books - get those shoes off of them!

Nice clothes don't have to be expensive. Brand names don't mean anything in comparison to the materials used and the shape/style of the garments.

It's so strange for me seeing that many gym clothes in one person's wardrobe when I just own a handful myself (granted I'm not a sporty person). I'd invest my money in nice tops, trousers and dresses instead.

I know there were other things to check out, but the Fiorucci brought me back to junior high when I so desperately wanted those angels and rhinestones. My family drove past the store in NYC once and I nearly threw myself out of the car when my dad refused to stop. I never got anything because it was all too expensive. Utter teenage angst.
