You're welcome and glad this helped! That's a great question and I had to stop and think about that. Most often, I'll use my palm to mute that string, or at least keep the note from carrying over when shifting to the next string. And sometimes I'll very quickly use my fretting hand (first finger) to mute that string quickly before going to the next. Hopefully that makes sense.
@@jasonstallworth I think 16th notes alternate picking gets called tremolo picking. So basically 90% of black metal lol I love how you explained it though, terminology aside, it's an idiot proof video which is great and pretty rare

Yes, standard which means that extra string is tuned to a B. I'm actually selling my 7 string...I've got a video coming up soon on why

No, the EVH doesn't need any pedals (other than a noise gate). The red channel gives you a really nice distortion with clarity.
