This collaboration was actually Babymetal's idea. The project started life with Babymetal trying to make a song in the style of "We Got The Moves" but it wasn't working, so they decided to ask Electric Callboy to help them. They met last year in Boston when Babymetal attended EC's show on one of their days off and they met up backstage and presumably that's where the idea for this song was proposed. According to Kevin and Nico, the song went back and forth between the two groups about 20 times before they came to the final version that everyone was happy with.

Yes it was a true 50/50 collab. The video was produced by the Schillo brothers, EC's video team. They have performed it several times, some with Nico and Kevin joining Babymetal and Kami Band, some with the girls joining the full EC band. The first one was at Foxfest in Japan, right after this dropped, in Babymetal's set.
Kevin wasn't the only one doing harsh vocals. Some of the ones near the end, were done by Momo Metal.

It was a 50/50 collab. The story as you know it so far is Babymetal had been working on an Electric Callboy style song, and it wasn't coming together. Then the girls had a night off in Boston and caught an EC show, and the two bands got to talking after the show, and Babymetal asked if EC would like to help and EC graciously said yes. So they worked on the song, and did 20+ versions before they agreed on a final one the day the video was shot.

Well, as already explained, they promised that there will be an official making off, but this happened yet. But both groups talked about the production, especially Electric Callboy since zhey love to react to reactors.
We know that it is a totally 50 /50 Collab. They simply had a production team Germany and a production team japan. And they collected hooks and Elements that they thought the song needed and a lot of these elements depend on Age, Culture and so on. It was certainly no easy production, but in version 20 zhey finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Normally Electric Callboy finds an end around Version 6 or 7. But this is the difference of a Worldwide Production, as Electric Callboy went for their first Live Performance to the Fox Fest in Japan. They thought the Fu Fus were a bit cheazy but the japanese Audience reacted to it. But ot is really fascinating if you dive deeper into the song. In principle, you have a boy part and a girl part and in the breakdown both songs are mixxed together. Totally. Babymetal themselves were a bit confused when the Electric Callboy production team started to interogate them about Momokos capabilities. Electric callboy is simply more used what to achieve with growling and in the breakdown Kevin and Momo really shared their growls, the second "Are you ready" and the Everybody calls are Momo. They started to describe it as Momokos fangs. As she herself confirmed a new Weapon in Babymetals arsenal. And this from the girl that thought she could never keep up with Su's and Moa's singing. Well it was in fact an order. Babymetal wanted to make a song in the tone of "We got the move" and they asked them if they wanted to be involved in the making of the song. It was their question do you want to Collab with us. This happened on Tour for both Bands. In Boston Babymetal had a day off and in the evening the simply visited the Electric Callboy Concert. In their uniforms...and after the concert they were lead backstage. And before the concert Electric Callboy even joked with their manager zhat such celebrities would never come to their concerts. And in fact at the european festivals it was probably one of the hottest themes, who would collab with them next.

Welcome back to the Foxhole, it's been a while.🦊🤘🔥
This song reached Number 1 best selling single in the US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands!
If you see comments talking about how cool was one of the singers turning around at the end, that's a reference to a video reaction they did last week. But the one who really looks cool are oc the ladies striking a pose near the end which is also the pose they used when performing live right from the beginning.💃
The last weekend of May they played this song at FOX_FEST Festival in Japan along with Electric Callboy, everyone went bonkers with this awesome collab of the year and hit of this summer. They also released the official live if you don't wanna stop and keep pushing it to the limit.
They also played together once again at Rock Im Park in Germany twice, one during EC show and the other one during BM show wearing cool new outfits. After that they played again at Rock Am Ring and we already got cool proshot clips.
The last weekend of June they finished the Europe Tour and once again with both groups playing this song twice at Resurrection Fest in Spain making everyone going wild.
Polyphia were also at FOX_FEST playing a set and the guitarists Tim Henson and Scott Le Page played together with BM the song Brand New Day, they're special guest in the album version, they were looking for this since a very long time ago and also fans waited for this. We already got an official live MV released recently if you wanna check that out.
BM said in an interview that they wanted to make a song to dance like We Got The Moves, they got something going on but they felt it wasn't complete, and that's why they asked EC to collaborate with them when meeting each other last year in Boston during the US Tour, it was a BM initiative but both bands got each other on the radar. It is known BM composers and producer loves to make tributes and make songs with certain influence from another bands they love, they did it a lot of times before, one of the most known was with DragonForce doing the guitar arrangements for Road Of Resistance album version, this time EC got more involved in the making of the song and that's why this is a 50/50 collab.
Next suggestion to enjoy another super collab they did prior to this:
    - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV.
Hope to see you around with more BM songs.
    See you next time 🦊🤘🐭

An epic collab to be sure, and an incredible song; it sounds like it could be in a Disney animated musical. And the "ooha- ooha" part brings to mind the anniversary party in Fix-it Felix's apartment in the movie "Wreck-it Ralph" ("Fix-it Felix, ooha-ooha"). 😁 More BABYMETAL/Electric Callboy collabs would be interesting but I think BABYMETAL has already carved their name into metal history without needing much in the way of an assist. Personally, I think BABYMETAL has gotten into a rash of collaborations lately to open up their exposure and generate a larger fan base.
I find it difficult to believe that you are able to make all-encompassing statements about BABYMETAL after reacting to only one of their songs ("Gimme Chocolate!!) and that reaction happening eight months ago. Perhaps you've been sneaking in some BABYMETAL on the side? Anyway, you need to up your BABYMETAL dosage!!! This may help:
BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer.
BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums with over fifty songs, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of recommended songs (with links to suggested versions). The first sixteen are from what I've come to call "The Golden Age of BABYMETAL" (better known as "The Yui Era"). This list also includes all four songs of the BABYMETAL sub-group Black BABYMETAL (just Yui and Moa while Su is taking a break):

If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . .
Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest:

    and/or
    "Budokan Black Night" (2014) ruclips.net/p/PLdBAj9hZ91wBwsBfjsKH9zWxA5YOOUkSI
Both concerts are, in a word, incredible.
Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!)
Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!)

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛. (BABYMETAL will return to USA and go on a tour from Nov. thru Dec. to perform 18 concerts at 15 venues. It includes your state PA, Bethlehem.)
I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (then group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!)
★ You can find the official LIVE video in RUclips !!
(Just FYI, BABYMETAL also played "Brand New Day" with Scott and Tim from POLYPHIA, that you have reacted to, in the same festival. That was beautiful and soothing. You can find a video of the live performance in YT.)

Great reaction. This is a straight 50-50 collaboration although it does seem to be more Electric Callboy in style ... but that was the idea to start with.
BABYMETAL were wanting to make a song people could dance to like Electric Callboy's song 'We Got The Moves'. They felt something was missing and decided to ask EC if they would like to get involved.
Both bands were playing in Boston last year. BABYMETAL went to see the EC concert and met and chatted with them before the show.
After a lot of back and forth between the bands (there were something like 22 or 23 versions of the song before they were all happy with the final result) we finally got 'RATATATA'.
BABYMETAL can do anything, they have always refused to be limited or to restrict themselves to just one style or sound and so when it comes to collaborations they can fit in with pretty much anybody.
BABYMETAL hosted Fox_Fest in Tokyo a couple of months ago. Electric Callboy was one of the bands they invited - and of course they played 'RATATATA' together. There is an official live video for that.
Another band they invited was Polyphia. In 2019 Tim Henson and Scott LePage provided the guitar tracks for BABYMETAL's song 'Brand New Day' .... and Fox_Fest was the ideal opportunity for them to finally get to play it live together.
There is another official live video from that performance - and if you watch that you will see what I mean about BABYMETAL being so versatile that they can collaborate with nearly anybody and just make it work and feel entirely natural.

The great thing about Babymetal collabs (aside from one that shall not be named), is that both sides are able to showcase what they do best in their own style....From their early collabs like Oh Majinai with Broden, to Pa Pa Ya with F. Hero, and Brand New Day with Polythia. I have seen some gripes about Brand New Day, in that Polythia didn't go all out in the guitar solos, as they are known to do, and what their famous for....BUT the overall song, some have descibed it as a polythia song with Babymetal singing the vocals. This past year has been a year of Babymetal collabs.... You got Leave it All Behind, Kingslayer, Metali, Ratatata.... Can't wait to see what other artists are going to work with Babymetal....I honestly wish that some of the Western female fronted metal groups can do something with Babymetal....Babymetal with Nightwish, Within Temptation, or In This Moment? Seeing 5ft Su standing next to 6ft Floor would be fun. 😁😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘

Come 0n, your not going to name the Lil Uzi Vert collab, it was fire, a goddamn dumpster fire 🧯 , the one and only song with Babymetal that I can't listen to.
The guys from Polyphia have already confirmed that there will be a collab with Babymetal on their upcoming album. Babymetal has expressed interest doing a collab with Slipknot, Cory Taylor admitted he is a fan of Babymetal after his son introduced them to him and later this year Babymetal will be playing Knotfest in Brazil so I wouldn't put it past them to have a collab out before then and maybe play it on stage together in Brazil.

you mentioned "breaking the 4th wall" .... but the 4th wall is the one that separates the performer from the audience , i.e., the fictional reality from the actual reality.
BUT AKTCHUALLLY , the _5th_ wall is the one which separates different fictional realities -- THIS is what has occurred here.🤓
