...yeah, that's strange. The Ghan and the Indian Pacific are 120km/h trains so I wonder what he was talking about.

They call it molten steel, but it is usually known as thermite. It is a mixture of iron oxide (rust) and elemental aluminum. When lit with usually a magnesium strip, the elemental aluminum grabs the oxygen atoms from the iron atoms in an exothermic reaction, the denser elemental iron heads down to the bottom of the molten mass and the rail joint while the aluminum oxide floats off. It also emits a lot of ultraviolet light which will burn out your retinas if you look at it.

    In GOD we trust !
    Vote Trump we must !
    GOD bless America !
GOD back Trump ! Republican Party: strength, order, civility, and a President who, in support of Israel, stands in front of the Wailing Wall; travels to India and states, "Strive for excellence,
and give the glory to God" [i.e., who makes excellence possible to begin with]; and, holds a Bible and stands in front of a church.

in criminal behavior; no voter registration; health care and a driver license for a person who enters this country illegally; violence instead of calm, order, reason,
and etiquette; same-gender "marriage"; and, the murder by abortion of nascent human beings.
    • Jeremiah Chapter 1, Verse 5 and Luke Chapter 1, Verse 15 exemplify that a human being from the moment of conception is a human being and not an intermediate
or transitional fish, amphibian, or reptile.

average of one every sixty seconds, this monstrous procedure - condoned by the Democratic Party - has killed about sixteen times the entire number of Americans killed
in every conflict since the American Revolutionary War.

    frankly get your facts straight.
auto racks are about 10-15 cars long sometimes pending whether they load from east perth or martialed in from from forestfield or midlands marshalling yards.
noting it can be shunted into east perth with 2-3 or 2-4 locos
correction it is double track to kal and single track across the nullabor

We have the Ghan that leaves Adelaide South Australia , before heading straight up to Darwin via Alice Springs.

the Ghan also comes to WA though goes to adelaide prior to the trip northward to darwin

@@jasonhowe1697 ...maybe they used some carriages marked 'Ghan' that you saw in WA as the Ghan itself is an Adelaide-Alice-Darwin only service.

@@1969cmp it was the entire train though with all the covid crap in the last few years, I would have to wonder whether they stopped the service as it was likely loosing cash or over inflating the cost..
though at some point the ghan did a once a week service inbetween the indian pacific
I have seen the ghan docked in east perth to know what i am talking about also note that there was a rare occasion we had the longest east-west train when they connected the indian and ghan together due to 1 being late, though it hadn't been repeated since
Whilst the ghan might not travel to WA anymore I do find it misleading when you statement of fact from the date you last traveled on a specific train, might not illustrate the true fact of the history of the entire service of the train in question..

@@jasonhowe1697 .....I have lived on the Ghan line all but six years of my life. Including the former narrow gauge section that ran from Marree to Alice Springs that closed in 1980.
I lived in Alice Springs three times, Finke, Marree and Port Augusta. My father was the railway station master in the Commonwealth and then National Railways....so we traveled on The Ghan regularly.

@@jasonhowe1697 The Ghan runs north to south and back .. Adelaide to Darwin. The Indian Pacific runs east-west and back. Indian Pacific .. Indian Ocean to Pacific Ocean.. The Ghan does NOT go to Perth. Not today .. not tomorrow .. not ever. Do some homework.
