    Great respect to Lt Raymond. Thank God he's living among his people who support him.
    NYPD executives don't make it feasible for others to implement new ideas, and if one is not a Captain or above the department executives don't want to listen to you.
    Thank God LT is living in NYC among his people who support him.
    Had he lived in Long Island or Staten Island or Upstate regions, those town police departments would have set him up ....etc...

    Amazing guy. The NYPD’s response is a total joke. Had he said or suggested ANYTHING at all; they would’ve shut him down immediately, told him to just do his job and been labeled a ‘troublemaker’. His life quite possibly would’ve been put at risk.

    And also not being in the streets and subways during late night hours until the sun up.

      Man yall are some ignorant people. Let’s clear the smog from your brains. This is a small interview, he said that the issue is the quotas given to police officers to force arrest within our community. So the best possible solution would be to get rid of the quotas and the racist policies and procedures. You need to ask how to do that too!?

Im just curious on to why this man joined anti-crime or plainclothes unit after his 3rd year in the force if his mindset was different than anti crime cause we all know that specialized unit was all about the numbers ( arrests and summons )Maybe he was kool-aid drinker and got tired of it.

      Its less than 1% of blacks that commit the majority of crimes by their ethnic group. Its literally racist to say that . Blacks are the only race whos action reflect their entire race . When a white person commits a mass shooting no one says anything about whites . But when a black man commits a crime , you get idiots like you who reflect it on all black people

    I think he spent too much time on the police force. If the only problem is the quota system, just change that and problem solved. No more getting shot in the back running away. No more getting shot reaching for an ID. No more getting hung in a jail cell for an overnight stay. The problem solved he has figured it out after 400 years ( yes, I said 400). This guy is a first-generation immigrant and does not fully understand the problem.

    • @778piggy
      @778piggy Год назад +1

      Yes he does . He actually discusses this in his book , they just don’t cover it in the video . Dont speak negatively about him if you dont even know what he’s about
      He says that NYPD officers in plain clothes units had a quota of 4 felony arrests per month . Thats very hard to do so police would instigate and escalate situations to meet their quotas . He says this is the reason police stopped and ultimately killed Eric Garner . Him selling cigarettes can technically be a felony in new york and thats why the officers made it such a big deal and instigated into what happened and didnt try to deescalate
      He goes into detail about how the nypd would ignore complaints and was extremely corrupt and how other major cities follow the same strategy in their departments
      He discusses implicit bias and how prevalent it was . He lead initiatives in the NYPD to educate offers about this and was retaliated against
      He gows into great detail how nypd and other police departments practice racist policies and thats what led to discrimination and things you are talking
      Its all addressed in his book

    • @claville12345
      @claville12345 Год назад

      @778piggy You said all that and still missed the whole point. You say he leads initiatives in the NYPD to tell them about implicit biases. That's like going to a room full of racist and saying. You know, guys, there's a lot of racism around here you have to watch out for. What I'm saying is this. ( You can not train the racism out of a racist). You can't do it, no matter how hard you try. He comes at the problem from a training aspect, and that's not the problem. They are not untrained. This is for you and him. Do not speak on problems you don't fully understand.

    • @778piggy
      @778piggy Год назад

      @@claville12345 he covers that in his book too 😂. He discusses all the way back to slave patrols and why the system is how it is and how implicit bias and racism exist in the police . He goes onto cover how the implict bias training can help currently but that ultimately the old head cops need to retire and that a new generation that hasn’t formed implicit is needed and that will take time and is an idealistic situation . Please read the mans book before trying to minimize him lol
