4:26 Thank you!!!!!!!! "I want to align the top of my cup with the top of my bridge." The cup is curved, so I was going mad figuring out align left/right/spilt-the-difference. Ugh.
Just caught this, and I think I may have gotten the right pattern for me ! Just have to finish my muslin and see how it fits ! Love all the time and effort you put into this !
On the muslin I made, I had such a rough time sewing my cup into my cradle. Trying to avoid the tucks and get everything to lie flat was super challenging, and I still ended up with a few. So I came back to watch this video again and you did it was such ease. I am getting a walking foot and I’m hoping that will help. Any advice for me? Please and thank you so much for these videos, Liz!
My back band piece is significantly longer/taller than the underarm area of the cradle piece. I cut out the pattern exactly, did not alter it but when I line it up, the part where you laid it the wrong way to line it up and pin it before sewing it on yours, it's close to perfect but mine has a solid half inch difference at least. Should I adjust it? And from which part? I don't want it super long under my arm where I am being stabbed but I don't want it to be short where it can't take the wire I need. Also, if I cut down the B1 part, then my hook and eyes won't fit, they'll be too large. I cut the B1 and B2 parts because I need the 3 hook and eyes. The same thing happens on the H1 and H2 pieces, I cut the paper out to test it. I have not yet cut the material, this is just the pattern as I don't want to waste my material
I would contact the pattern designer if your size isn’t lining up correctly it may be an issue with how she graded out the pattern Also make sure you are comparing the seam lines lengths and not the cut edges as that will make a difference
@@LizSews Thank you for that information. The whole pattern seems ok, except for that one piece and none of that one part lines up. I will reach out and see what I can find. I appreciate your reply!
This is very nice Liz! This is also where I had a problem when working with this pattern. My cups ended up too wide to fit into the frame. Do you think it was because I wasn’t using the foam?
I have the same problem with mine, I think there’s an issue with the larger cup sizes since I didn’t use foam cups in the muslin. I have almost 3/4 inches of excess on either side, and I made the bridge higher to fit my underwire, so there would have been an inch and a half of excess if I did everything straight from the pattern.
This series is so helpful ... now that I have a test bra I'm re-watching your prior videos and they are even more helpful now!

It just takes practice and lots of pins!

How do I get the bra pattern?

I don’t think the foam should make a difference. I did have to ease the cups in this pattern ( like a set in sleeve)
LizSews ok, thank you Liz!
