So they said she was exaggerating his tendencies. Then he grows up and does this. So all the people (not on here) saying someone should have notice and done something. Well they do notice. And nobody does anything. Just like the most recent shooter. He was reported to the FBI and they did nothing. Parents try to get help so many times and are turned away. Yet CPS goes after innocent people.

Absolutely. I watched a brand new mother have her infant ripped from her before they could even leave the hospital together.. They found anxiety medication in the baby's system. But her doctor told her it was too dangerous to quit the medication while pregnant.
Yet there are monsters who can accumulate 5 foster children, kill a couple, and still receive checks every month for the boys CPS failed to check on for years.. like what the actual.... I believe many case workers may come in with good intentions, but the system is so broken and flawed that it breaks them down and more innocent children continue to be let down by the system created with the sole purpose of protecting them.

@@freudianslippers6567 If you have an emergency and don't have insurance, you go to the emergency room. They bill you. It's very expensive. I've had bills in excess of $10,000. They may write a prescription, but if you don't have money to pay, you can't get the medication. I needed an inhaler once that was going to cost $600. The doctors in the emergency room will refer you to a specialist if you need to see one, but if you have insurance and can't pay, the specialist won't take the appointment. I needed to see a cardiologist because my heart valve was failing. It was going to be about $2000, and that didn't include any of the diagnostic testing and treatment. I could pay that up front so they would not see me.

I can’t even begin to explain how many people have judged me, disrespected me, and so much more once they found out that I have severe clinic depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Instead of trying to help people, our society discards us as “lost, crazy, unable to be helped,” etc. We will pay to jail people for life in a second but we won’t dare give them proper health care. 😖

      @NotAnotherKuromi 5 лет назад

It sounds like non of the diagnosis or explinations/treatment of said diagnosis were accurate. The mum was obviously desperate to get the right diagnosis & get appropriate intervention.
My mother went through something similar when I was a child, I have physical health problems & received many inacurate diagnosis before getting final diagnosis in adulthood which are accurate & overwrite all those wrong diagnosis I had as a child.
For example I didn't have colic, an over anxious mother, growing pains, anxiety, an eating disorder, depression, abdominal migraines etc I have a paralyzed gastrointestinal tract. Once I went to a good neurogastroenterologist who knew what to look for, they did a few tests & scans to prove my food & drink move through me 10 times slower than the average person. Because of that diagnosis I got to try different treatments. Now I use the peristeening system & are on promotility drugs which have improved my suffering & quality of life immensely.
Since being on forums & talking to other patients with similar experiences I have realized how many specialists have pet theories & don't understand or think about possible conditions. I feel sorry for all the other people being fobbed off with none or the wrong diagnosis, especially now I know the right diagnosis can lead to the right treatment & improve so many daily symptoms. Me & my mother wish I had the right diagnosis & appropriate help sooner but better late than never. Drs not learning from each other & admitting their mistakes is a huge problem & I don't know what it will take to make them pay attention & realize the suffering they are causing by doing nothing.

It's sad that mental health care is not taken seriously in this country as clear priority. That said, he shouldn't be let out of jail to endanger the lives of everybody who crosses his path. Why should innocent people pay with their lives for an inadequate mental health system? These do-gooders who say he shouldn't be in jail should have to take him into their homes, around their family members, and see how that works out.

I am aghast. How could one person be failed so many times, by so many different people and by the state? At the same time, he sounds articulate enough, and as though he understands both the concept of what he has done and what he's facing. Puzzling and horrible. You aren't fooling me, Tyler's mom. I don't think you did your best. And I say that having raised a very handicapped little boy into a man; I'm not naive about the work it takes, and how horrific and heartrending it can be to be doing it all alone.

I feel like the mom gave up on him and now that he is going to need her again she doesnt want to be held responsible. He is your child. The day you conceived him you were responsible for his welfare. If he came out handicapped or mentally I'll he was to be your responsibility for life. Now you will let him go to a shelter after all the injustices he has already had? You are as bad as everyone else you point the finger at.

To all of those criticizing Mississippi for cutting mental health care, and not having adequate facilities, please consider that Mississippi is an extremely poor state. In GDP Per Capita for 2015, Mississippi ranked dead last, at 50th place. If the USA wanted to put a comprehensive, federal health plan in place, that would be a different thing. But when states are left to do so much, the poor ones won't be able to do too well.

I think sometimes kids need medicine and sometimes it is a lack of parental consistent discipline. Some kids are harder than others and very strong willed. Some kids have legit mental illness. Too many kids are on ADD or ADHD meds or psych meds that don't need it, they just need to be disciplined. Some kids truly need medical help. I feel for parents in situations like these.

Miss T Both can be utilized, but some cannot function without proper medication (at least not a life beyond just existing and/or a life of constant suffering). I know some people think they know the cure to every illness and disease, but unfortunately the world doesn't shift to one's personal beliefs. I respect your views, but I think it fair you respect how others choose to treat their illnesses in a way they find helps them reach the fulfillment in life they too deserve.

Its not severly bad but he is VERY hyper and doesnt listen..minimal eye contact...they tell me to wait til he starts school and teachers will let you know if he needs an evaluation. Im his damn mom and i need to know how to help him cope and deal with siuations for him to help himself..i was totally against meds but he has almost gotten very hurt due to his hyperactivity....he seems not to feel pain also.. So he doesnt understand that what hes doing can severly hurt him...dont think im not watching him closely but he likes to run and FAST...i can hardly catch him and afraid he'll run in front a car or jump off something before i can get to him.. Hes funny ..cute..loving ..happy and i dont want meds to change that plus that he grows up relying on pills..seems like he might be an addict when he grows up.. Im torn but his safety is #1 and if its meds..its meds!!

+HyydroBandShyyt SCG Sorry but no. In Canada, this situation would be considered a human rights violation and this kid's case would be thrown out by a judge on the basis of his being incarcerated without trial for 4 years.
"The Supreme Court of Canada has set new rules for an accused's right to be tried within a reasonable time frame, in a decision that criticizes the country's legal system for a "culture of complacency" when it comes to delays in criminal trials.
Superior Court cases will now have up to 30 months to be completed, from the time the charge is laid to the conclusion of a trial. Provincial court trials should be completed within 18 months of charges being laid, but can be extended to 30 months if there is a preliminary inquiry.
Any delays beyond these time frames are "presumptively unreasonable" and violate the accused's charter right to be tried within a reasonable time, the decision said."

He will still be that young child of when he whent in,, like time stoped for him but his body kept growing. When he gets out make him write an apology letter to his step mom, give him huggs and eat some pancakes. A proper way to release anger classes would be beneficial in his case. Or just go get a bunch of plates and set up a spot to break them when the world gets to him. When he was young igave my son a ping pong paddle and a bunch of balls, he still can't handle it when someone is as he calls it "acting stupid" but he walks away, like his past job he had, I am letting him live at my house for free, no pressure, untill he can find a new job. He also is at the age were he figured it out that Lifes not perfect nobody is, but dang it if they act like they are perfect and want to throw it in his face like they are, not having it. Walk away....(job forman).

@@robingagan6288 I agree. We choose to be in control of our emotions or let our emotions control us. Any emotion. I think many adults with anger issues were kids who were allowed to let their tempers run the household when they were growing up. I firmly believe parents shouldn't give in to childrens temper tantrums because giving in teaches them that letting anger control you gets what you want. Adults who are assigned anger management classes are just adults throwing temper tantrums.

Thank you for posting this video. Yes. I hope that the residents of Mississippi, and all the other states as far as that is concerned will think about this lack of social funding when they vote. The ONLY way to get more social programs and keep them is to get the GOP out of power in the House, in Congress and in the White House. That's it. period. Accept that fact, and let your vote represent YOU and your children and grandparents. This trend is nation-wide and will only get a lot worse if you do not. In the meantime they are simply building more prisons to house the mentally ill, the addicted, people who have committed nonviolent crimes or anyone else they don't care about. If you do NOT want to live this way, do NOT want this country run by people who do not share your ethics, please VOTE, and get away from the influences of those liars who are doing nothing but USE us to support their warped agenda to simply keep themselves very wealthy. Everyone in American needs to watch this video.

We could help so many people, while reducing crime and poverty, just by providing mental healthcare. But we refuse. We refuse to make healthcare and mental healthcare available to those who need it.
