He couldve pulled all his probe by mineral drilling into the nat to disrupt Marine pathing and attack them too. Therer are alot of different situations that couldve hapenned

Ghost lockdown has been tried throughout the years. In the early days of Brood War it had some success, but generally its just too hard to pull off. Ghosts are slow to build, expensive, die incredibly fast, and are really apm intensive. And if the protoss sees is coming then your ghosts will just get popped by a single psy storm before the 3rd lockdown even gets cast

Are Valkyries remotely viable to counter carrier's mass interceptor? I have never seen it but though about it just now. While mech absorbs the damage the valks could lower the interceptor count.
Your very correct in thinking that.However some idiot decided it was a good idea to make valkyrie not do splash damage on interceptors.Which makes carrier unbalanced unit in that matchup as terran has nothing against it.They need to make corsair not do splash on mutalisk too if they are going to do such bullshit.

There are Terran players I really like but when it's PvT I always root for Protoss because there really is nothing like the salty Terran tears that flow freely in the comment section after a Protoss win.
Honestly the only way to catch carriers early when you are going mech is if you do a vulture drop. You aren't gonna get an academy early with mech build at this level..he was doing good to match greed for greed, but the carrier tech is always in the protoss back pocket and that was a perfect game to pull that stunt.

I love how balanced carriers are because when I watch pro level games they only win 80% of the time, and I know that's fair cause Terran can mass ghost or BC and win 80% of the time and zerg also can mass ultralisk and win 80% of the time. it is important to have skill units like carriers where you can mass and win, basically always. when I play vs AI I mass carriers and they just quit to make sure I keep the win ratio at 80%
Well yeah, if you see it coming then ghosts are an amazingly cheap caster for how devastating they can be vs big expensive mechanical units. And those lockdowns feel like they last forever.
Original SC needed to give massive buffs to ghosts. BCs are fine but ghosts? They needed to be 150mineral/150gas and have protoss style shields or something like 45hp/45shields...or permanent stealth like the dark templars with way higher damage that's not concussive. SC2 fixed ghosts btw. But in SC1 I always thought of ghosts as the unit that was supposed to assassinate the other casters like defiler/high templar but that's not how it played at all. Basically good for lockdown and nukes only. Far better to use vultures to kill high templars and use science vessels to kill defilers.
@@Leonhart_93 tell that to players who play against bonyth or stork.They know those dudes go carrier 99% of the time and they cant do much about it even tho they know what the enemy will do.carrier has 12 range while attacking and moving away.Ghosts dont move fast enouth.They will die before they can lockdown as long as protoss does good micro and is attacking while running away.

Motive’s carrier micro is awful. If Motive would micro carriers as good as Zergs do with mutas - they would be next to invincible and extremely deadly. Proper carrier micro almost doubles damage output in skirmishes and triples it in base assaults.
Oh, so cross spawn Nexus first is unbeatable (certainly seems that way from the last 10 times I've seen it). Why aren't the Terran players ceaselessly crying like Zerg players? Shouldn't there be some map edits like there are every time there's a Terran advantage (or, you know, just when they win too much)? Seems only fair.
Soso spends all that money making factories, instead of just getting the academy earlier.. the guy is flying blind all game, if he had just gotten one scan he would’ve pivoted most of those factories into starports, gone wraiths and valks with tank support and wrecked those carriers.. common man not smart.. the guy didn’t get a scan until 11 minutes in and only found out about the carriers from his vultures smh… but love that marine bunker cheese to wreck him in the 2nd game, well done!

i think the entire game 2 came down to the placement of that pylon. If that wasn't in such easy range of the marines, I think he holds it.

It's the opposite for me. TvP is such a difficult matchup that I love seeing a terran win when they're always the underdog.
