I have LOVED Split Enz since I first heard, ‘In the Wars’ on WCVY-FM (radio in the U.S.), and have loved their music ever since. Have not been blessed to see them live, but still have their music to put a HUGE smile on my face and in my heart 🥰😁 ~ Thank you for sharing this interview.

Paul hester was so cute and so smart and so funny and so kind he was one of my favorite drummers of all time he was someone that would be nice to you or something like that and he would make you feel special about your self I wanted to meet him in person and do a song with him rip paul hester 1959_ 2005
You were such a funny joker Hessie. You joined both music groups Split Enz and Crowded House and drummed for both music groups. Even though both you and Noel Crombie will always be my favourite drummers and counting Ringo Starr from the Beatles. There are some pretty good drummers. And I just named a few of my favourites Paul Hester "Hessie or Hess" from Split Enz and Crowded House, Noel Crombie from Split Enz and Ringo Starr from the Beatles.
Saw the mighty ENZ on this brief tour with Boom Crash Opera, Crowded House and Hunters & Collectors st Fisherman's Wharf on the Gold Coast in late Dec 89. One of my first ever gigs. Would have been 15 at the time.
