I've reached out to this video's owner to Inquire about this video but I haven't received a reply but I think the channel is just a bunch of random videos put together with his last video posted 13 yrs ago .. RUclips/ Sparkware
I've never seen a video this old of a drive through Gatlinburg TN.. I can only imagine how difficult it was holding that big cam corder the whole time, walking and riding with it lol.
I just know many who love Gatlinburg love seeing how it was way back in 1988🤣

Guys, I blocked that *jack* and I hope it stays that way...I removed the $$ Incase I make $9 per 1,000 views ..lol. I'm only showing this because it's so cool to see how it was in 88...I reached out to the video owner without luck plus the last 5he posted was 13 yrs ago 8 believe...Thank you all for having my back! .Maybe I'll make the $$ in my PP account 😂
This is the Gatlinburg I miss!
It’s a shame it doesn’t look that way now. And Pigeon Forge, Cherokee, Chimney Rock…all those places. Pigeon Forge has turned into that God awful Myrtle Beach just less the ocean.
Gateway Books was a favorite.
I love the old cars and how little trash there is. Thanks Hussey
@@Pigeonforgehussey111 You s.o.b you really have no life do you. OMG You actually looked for the original creator. This is a new low for Karens everywhere bud. But probably not your lowest moment I bet.
I'm trying!
Always!
I would love to see Gatlinburg in the mid 90s
I can’t get my head around the fact that 1988 was 35 years ago!
Right???? I was 14 living in Newport RI
Yes good memories when I’m was 6 years old and my family went staying in Gatlinburg summer 1988. We rode first time Skylift, Mountain Mall, etc. I can’t believe it right now look different 2023 more look better than old times 1988. ❤
Thank you Sean!!!
Sean we noticed on the video there was a red car parked next to the Parton deli looked likeca corvette. Neat video!
Thank you so much
And check out those cars. Now if we can find 70s 😂 Probably not with those cameras. 😊 This one is a gem! ☝️ I remember riding with my aunt and uncle, in the early 70s, and going to Porpoise 🐬 Island 🏝️ in Pigeon Forge. Those were magical times…. 🥰
Shared!
That's for me 😊😁😉 back in the good days man it was great 😃
I remember staying at McKays in 1964
There was a car parked where the infamous BMW is usually parked across from Rocky Waters lol Wonder if it's the same person. So cool watching old looks into how I remember this beautiful place as a child.
Hi!! I noticed that too..lol. Thank you for Subscribing if you've done so
The good ole days 🤠
Yes!!
Wow. '88 doesn't seem so long ago... until I see these cars!
We took our 2 kids to our only trip to Gatlinburg when we camped in the Smokies on our World's Fair vacation in '82. In our '77 Granada! They were 2 & 5. Only thing I really remember is riding the ski-lift.
Our 'kids' are in their 40's, with 5 kids between them of their own now.
So, yeah. Guess it's been 'a minute'...
@Uncle Sam 🏴☠️ Wow... haven't heard from you since the 2 yrs I lived w/you 😅.
Blessed, indeed. Hope you are too...
Thank you so much for saying that!! So cool ..
I was 17 lol
I miss it too. Remember staying at McKays so many times in my teen years
The good ole'days! Its a shame Gatlinburg was sold to that Moonshine company. They are destroying all the old buildings and putting up every other building with a Smoky Mountain Moonshine hut? I miss the old generic gift shops...water weenies, mini-jim bowie knifes, the hologram shop in the village, Acorn annex 2, the lemon tree where my mom got all the stuffed cabbage patch kids.
Trust me, I know!🤬🤬🤬
OMG, That was the Gatlinburg that I feel in love with, Now it's a Mess!!! Waaaaay to many people, 😔 😟
Christine, I agree with you
Sean,Been coming to the Smokeys for over 30 years, It had Cham, My go to restaurants was, Burning Bush and The Brass lantern and The Greenbrier that was the best kepted secret, and never waited 1or 2 hours to get in to eat, Their all gone now!!!!, Was down 2 weeks ago and walked the strip once for only about 1/2 hour, So Freaking busy and no old charm, will quit visiting the Smokey Mountains, It has my heart, Now we stay out 321 or Townsend, Some good restaurants out that way and peaceful, Everyone else can have the strip, Differently not the same anymore 😥😥😥
@@chistinecox368 no unfortunately!! I loved the Burning bush as I was a bus boy there
1988. This was just one year before i was born in 1989. I see some buildings in this video, that i recognize from today, but i suppose a lot has change since then.
I was 14 and were moving from Newport RI to FL in 1988 lol
I'm a little nauseous now but great footage from yesteryear. Thanks Huss!
Haha...hey, I tried to record this on my phone with a video shot in 1988 with a bulky cam corder..lol 😆
So cool seeing the way it used to be in other words the simple life . I think my first time there was in 1998.
.😊
Nice
We loved getting to see some of Gatlinburg the way it was when we went there on our honeymoon in 1993. So many of the motels on the strip are gone now. It was fun to see things I remember. Thank you for sharing. I would love to see more videos and pictures of the way Gatlinburg used to be.
I'm so happy you liked it ... that's my intention with this video

Hi buddy!! Thank you..yes, you can hear it clunking around..lol
In the early 60s was my first trip to the mountains. I wish I had more memories of it. I only remember a big wooden Indian on a store front in Cherokee.

Hi Ron!! Always sir
That was great Sean. That's how I remember it in the 80s. Branson MO was the place to go back then. Still beautiful there, but my, how times have changed. Great nostalgic content.
