Glad I caught this video, ordered a revision B earlier today and would've had no idea. Got the order changed and I will have my first osu tablet on sunday!
i literally just got this tablet on new years. it’s nice. idk how to tell if it’s bad because it’s my first tablet but i just used their own drivers and screwed around with the area size and then it felt slow but then i changed the sensitivity from 1.00x to 5.00x and it feels great. no issue with aiming. i tested the aim with different maps, for aim i picked “goodbye moonmen (pog)” and for streams i picked “raise my sword”. i found no issues. but the hover distance is only 11mm compared to the wacom with 18mm hover distance
Can confirm I have one and it works just fine aside from the hovering distance. Other than that, solid tablet and would recommend it and dear lord do not get huion 420 they break too easily.
I got a Wacom CTL-472 for Christmas because I honestly didn't know anything about tablets, KoiFishu said it was good, so I was like "Aight I'll ask for that one". The rate is 135 hertz so yeah not as good as the Rev A XP-Pen but it still feels responsive and has no smoothing so all around a great tablet. Really doesn't matter, just get the best one you can afford and enjoy game.
meh polling rate on tablets doesnt really matter the one on the xp pen g640 is interpolated so its not actually 266 and if im not wrong interpolation also adds a little bit of latency

It's my first and only tablet so I didn't know any better. Thanks for making this video. Super informative. I'll be looking into getting the higher refresh tablet with less hardware smoothening to see the difference.

i got it 2 months ago and it's great. The buttons may get in your way at first but they are very small so you can easily adjust your grip. It's basically a tablet for everyone - osu or drawing, both are easy.

Open tablet drivers are the GOAT. Active devs working on it still. One of them has a plug in that can reverse the effects of hardware smoothing to bear non existant. Amazing drivers

I already solved this by ripping off the buttons but I was wondering how you dealt with the issue (w/ Star G640) I also tried everything software wise, like getting different drivers etc...
I ordered a regular g640 off of amazon around late november and after checking in the hawku driver console page it showed that I still got rev A anyways so thats nice

Just buy a Gaomon S620 if it's available, it's basically the same as G640 Rev A, and not support a company who did false advertising for almost a whole year :)
I've had my XPen g640 since I've started. In my opinion it's an okay tablet. It glitches on the right side now but I still have the left side. The pen isnt the best but it works

@@aimdrip1074 its the same as the 480 lower smoothing or none i use it and its perfect its the same size as the wacom 480 just without the top and many people use it to replace their 480 but the line is a great budget on if you have the money i recommend the 472 if you don't then the line is a good option

It depends, some tablets have extremely bad cases when it comes to smoothening - so i'm not too sure about veik since I haven't used it in ages, but the last time I remembered the smoothening wasn't terrible.
I tried switching off xp pen for my new wacom 472, I just can't. There is to much friction and i feel like the nib is going to get worn to shreds. I dont feel like wasting money for a cover on a tablet I dont even like. Its a shame it 3x more expensive, yet worse.
i bought mine in Feb 2020 and still got a RevB (dont know how), but since it was my first and only tablet for osu, i got used to it. I'm using OTD and i cant complain. I dont know if i would play better using a RevA or another better tablet, but i think if it is your first tablet it doesnt matter much. I can say it DEFINETLY will get harder to play with it when u start playing 7* maps, u can feel the lag even if you have never played in another tablet.
i got the g640 and im trying to drag, but the tablet gives an input when the pen makes contact with the tablet. so whenever i try to drag, it thinks im clicking. does anyone know how to fix this?
As a former drag player using this tablet, I would say yes unless you don't mind scratches. Keep in mind that they are pretty visible after just a bit of use. If that doesn't bother you, it comes with many tips so your tips wearing down shouldn't be a problem!

if you want the cheapest good tablet, get gaomon s620, if you want a really good tablet get wacom ctl 472
