That was me! I had no idea Neel was a youtube star! Neel I owe you big time. The pain was unbearable...I probably shouldn't have been driving with the amount of painkillers I had taken that morning. One thing to note is that the excruciating pain only started once I put ear drops in - olive oil and Otex. I think this because the plug absorbed the fluid and expanded against the ear canal. It felt like my ear drum was going to burst! I couldn't continue with work so I took a day off to find a specialist ....and I'm so glad I didn't go to a pharmacist in my local town. It was instant relief when you got that plug out....and I feel like I have superman levels of hearing. I'll be back once a year from now on. Really appreciate your knowledge and skill. Great job. Thank you

I know you are camera shy, but watching you physically describe the structure of the ear and the layers of skin whilst watching the procedure is really invaluable. It just adds to my understanding of things. So thanks for being willing to go on camera! Also, the black scrubs and these blue scrubs might be my favorites 😂

So satisfying! ENT nurse 1977-1984 from Sweden. We used to irrigate more with saline solution, 9 mg/ml 37 ° C, both waxplugs and otitis externa. Used the metal syringes you have talked about, aiming them upwards and backwards. The patients loved this and the ENT doctor dried the earcanal afterwards with a q-tip. Never saw infections afterwards. One of the doctors used to tell the patients that the only thing they should clean their ear with was their elbow. Good adwise! Me I ended up being a midwife. Love your content! Makes me nostalgic.

And, Mr. R, thank you for allowing us to see your nice looking face! PS I also like to read comments even though sometimes I get so aggravated at the people who are so unkind or just not really understanding. I did make a couple of responses to people, not fussing at them, but reminding them of what you said in the video that dealt with what they were asking about. I do understand it’s possible for furious people to listen to videos, and not fully comprehend everything that was said. Like one gentleman said, why didn’t he just use olive oil, well, you explained why but I think that just did not sink in with him.

I'm going to ask an few odd questions. Is one ear (left or right) more prone to having Keratosis obturans (Kind of like which ear you tend to use as your "dominant" ear.) ? Do you find it equally presenting in both? How often do patients with KO have it in both ears? I would love to know. Thank you so much for your engagement with your subscribers. I don't think people realize how much we take hearing for granted. As someone with Autism Spectrum Disorder I'm sensitive to loud noises. I do wear calming ear plugs to reduce the sensitivity. I do notice when I take them out at the end of the day (Yes, I clean them regularly.) the difference between when I wear them and before or after I take them in or out for the day.
If I was in the UK and had Audiology issues I would seek you and or Audiology Associates (Rhys Barber & Taylor Greene) to help out with any hearing issues. Your channels show your want to help people and the depth of knowledge that you have.

Just found your channel and I LOVE it! It would be lovely if you would use a ruler to measure the wax removal to get a better idea of how much wax is removed and the length of the canal. I’m in the US, so a ruler with cm and inches would be helpful. I hope you’re have a wonderful day!

Thank you Mr. Neel for all the work you do and the aid you give these people. Those plugs looked so bag, especially the largest intact one at the end. Now the patient can enjoy life better
