Two Zen monks once walked down a muddy road en route to a temple. They happened upon a lovely young woman trapped on one side of a stream that cut across the way. What happened next may surprise you. It also may reveal the true nature of your thinking process ... and why it's important to let that go if you seek to be more and more creative.
Stay happy, stay healthy, and stay creative.

Thanks for sharing this. Works for me. Also my favorite story about attachment and non-attachment. Told it many times myself. And someday, I may actually remember what it’s teaching.

Exactly. Couldn't agree with you more, Rabbi Steve. Very important to check in with it routinely. Can't say I've mastered yet. Maybe I never will. But when it works, it works, right?

There is new Magnum with shirts and Ferrari's😊. Enjoyed the muddy road...but why follow the road?

Doug, two things. I made this video long before I learned that they’d resurrected the Magnum PI series. I’m interested in seeing the new one since, in my estimation, the old one was excellent. As far as the road, I agree with you. Maybe the whole point is that there is no road. Or rather, the road is all in our heads. It’s there in retrospect, not in the moment. Or something like that. Always good to hear from you, and I’m always thankful that you’re watching. Sending my best to you.

I like this one, and yes I happen to have several Hawaiian shirts, every writer should own at least one, same with plaid button up shirts, throw one of those babies on, lock and load behind that typewriter.
Shout, "Get down behind me, I got this!"
Especially shout this if in an apartment.
If you type fast enough it will sound like machine gunfire....
Okay, wrong shirt, that my red and white Hawaiian or as I like to call my Colombian Drug Lord Shirt, my Pablo Escobar...I was at a snooty art thing once in San Francisco and they were bragging about the different art they have in their collection and I said oh yeah I own an Original Pablo Escobar, I crunched on some Ice and added oh yes, he made it in Columbia, excuse me, I found an exit and left. A kind of friend invited me I was something of a unicorn a published Firefighter. I was the best damn art in that place the show was over when I left lol.
I like the one about the two guys and the old donkey, they come through the first town both walking and the villagers say
Oh look at these two stupid fools, both are walking at least one could ride the mule.
They come through the next town this time the old fat man is walking and the you boy is riding the mule. The villagers say:
Oh look at this, shame on the boy he should get off and let the old man ride the mule has he no honor for his elders?
They come to the next village this time the boy is walking and the fat old man is riding the mule and villagers say:
Oh look at this, that poor mule having to take all that weight shame on him he should be walking and maybe loose that weight.
There are many versions and a joke based on this, even a riddle I think, but this is the original version I heard and it's a different look on what President Abe Lincoln said, you can please some of the people some of the time, you can please most of the people most of the time, but you will never please all of the people all of the time.
But with this mule story, it's says regardless of what you do it will always be wrong to someone else, either of this options were fine, I think the boy had a wood leg that was hidden in one version, but basically you need to just be yourself and not worry about what other think or how others would have done it.
Another aspect would be Avoid walking through these villages altogether. ❤
    Mmmmmmhhhmmmm. 👍

If we can't have fun with a story about two monks while wearing a Pablo Escobar shirt ... I mean, what's the whole point of it then? Thanks, as always, @dadtype2339, for the comment, your sharing, and your wisdom! And your Pablo Escobar shirt.
