@@TryItWithTim its really annoying because these are really neat vehicles, the only real "con" I can think of is the lack of repairability. Hopefully all of the pushback recently will change FMs viewpoint tho
@@Carterthielftw_ I agree man I was hooked when a friend let me ride his . Ordered the Onewheel then started hearing of all the controversies. Hopefully they work out all of these issues and improve their business practice for the community that supports them. I was close to cancelling my order but then it shipped.
Yeah there will always be issues and yet hundreds of people have been riding them for years and not had issues. The real reality is thank the lawyers. I don’t know if you have every been sued but it ain’t fun. Extreme sports is dangerous and in order to protect yourself you have to lock things down otherwise it looks like you don’t care or gets perceived that way in court. Oh the joys of living in a world where everyone believes they are entitled to everything. I don’t get that FM is at being evil or has any ill intent. It’s all just a sad by product of nefarious people ruining it for all of us. I bought a GT and just waiting for it to arrive.

Lucky you, FM actually shipped you yours. They have had my money for over 7 months now and I had to reach out to them before they told me they can’t ship overseas anymore 😩 MASSIVE ISSUES at that “company” lol they said they can give me my money back if I want 😂 wow!
I waited more than 4 months and almost cancelled after reading about the many controversies. It’s a shame because it’s such an awesome product but the company needs to be respectful and operate professionally especially with such a premium price . Hope you reach a resolution soon !

Sorry to hear this; What remote area of the planet are you located? I feel these days context is important and not to generalize. It’s a bummer that the original hover boards brought to light that not all Lithium Ion batteries are manufactured the same. All those fires can be thanked for shipping costs and regulation around battery devices. FM is really a small company doing their best in a world where shipping and supply chain issues have literally brought companies to their end. The regulations and shipping charges have made it very difficult on small business. The AMAZON prime free shipping has sent a message that shipping should just be free and or cheap. This is not a truth in the real world. A very specialized product that thousands of people have loved for years. Just a point of reference this is a product that was/is being produced during the plague years on planet earth. Hopefully, you can get your hands on one soon.
@@jwmiles FM told their customers to remove the dangerous goods label. That’s why we are in this mess and no other reason. FM should at least do a public apology and explain why they thought they knew more about the safety of transporting dangerous goods then the authorities. For a company that uses safety as an excuse to screw their customers over i.e. right to repair, they sure have a ways to go. Hopefully they will be forced with the back hand of the law to change their ways!
@@tkvlogger2511 unfortunately safety is what ambulance chasing lawyers have leveraged to defraud insurance companies. Which in turn back fires and ruins it for the majority. I agree the shipping label situation is unfortunate. Bad decisions are the worst. Yeah, law and government is going to only help make it even more expensive. Hope somehow you are able to get one to your location soon. I’m going crazy waiting for mine and I’m in California.
It most likely was easier because the XR has a flat tire the gt has a round tire

Never tried an XR but I have tried the pint. GT just feels super tall and wide compared to the pint, but overall riding has been improving and yea this thing can take a beating lol
I don't get the carbon fiber fenders anymore. If you do any tricks or push your limits enough to flip your board alot the CF fenders get all messed up. I like to spray my fenders with truck bed liner. It looks tough and it's easy to respray.
Great tip! I mainly got it so the tire doesn’t rub on me when I’m holding by the handle and for looks lol

First Onewheel ever owned no pads nothing learned that shit max speed 19.8 and I’m super comfortable on it
Haha nice man but i would definitely wear a helmet. I ate it in the grass and fell right on my back hitting my head but I was wearing my helmet.
Just got mine and never rode a onewheel before so it is definitely tricky but well worth the effort. I also left my Carbon fiber fender off because I expect to beat it up a bit while getting used to it. Best of luck with it

I made the same mistake by putting my carbon fiber fender on my pint x when I first got it. Tore that bad boy up. Just got my gt last week. Left the fender off. It looks so much better with that tire exposed. I might throw my fender on my gt if I take it out when it’s wet. But I live in Arizona so….
My whole board is beat up at this point including myself I just ate shit lol 😂 But yea glad I have the video to see what it looked like brand new for a brief moment lol I like the fender cause that wheel dirts my pants real quick but your right it does look dope without it
Highly recommend elbow pads, wrist guards and maybe even knee pads if you are just getting started. From an experienced onewheeler now that had a few surprise spills in the past while learning :)

Thanks for the video. I’m waiting for my GT with threaded tire to be delivered next week. I’ll not install my carbon fibre fender right away after I saw how easy it got damaged. 😅

Does the phone app need to be on and connected during the ride?
No it can ride without it. But seems like the app is the only way to change the riding profiles.
Looked like your tire was WAY too hard. It looked like balancing on a bowling ball. 😬
If you are not a heavy guy try a much lower pressure like 18 psi or even 14 psi. 👍
