One of the many things I love about Carl’s playing is that I always hear the guitar’s voice. I know it is Carl playing but he ALWAYS lets the guitar shine and sing. Like the perfect dance partner. I don’t know of any other guitarist who can do that. Especially so beautifully.
I love Carl's demos as well. I wonder how I would sound playing that guitar? I have talent as well you know... talent for making an $8K guitar sound like $300 worth! Love your work Carl.
Well, that was a beautiful piece of music. Well played indeed. I bought a J 45 Vintage Custom Shop 2019 half a year ago. I am owner no. 3 , the first was i Germany, the second a fellow here i Denmark - and the strings were of an unknown make - my predecessor had not changed them. It sounded, as expected, excellent. The strings faded a bit in tone over the following months and I converted them to Martin Guitars MA535T Authentic Treated - they are 0.11s. It was like getting a completely different guitar. Even more amazing, still so full of timbre and clarity in every single note, but quite overwhelming and I can't help but wonder if the guy would have sold it if he'd heard it with the new strings.
Actually, the thermo curing process bakes the atomic structure of the wood and freezes it permanently. Meaning it will never sound better in the future. It will not age like a regular guitar. But I think the tradeoff is worth it.
@@danherrick5785 it's an interesting theory, but I wouldn't be so sure about it, cause this process is done with the top only but the rest of the wood will age and tone will change anyway. Anyway my one of these 2016 sounds awesome 😊
I just got a J-45 Studio in Rosewood and absolutely love the sound and feel. But as a relative newbie, will need years to play half as well as Carl. Please publish your TABS
love it ❣❣ play on 4ever Jackson Browne guitar tones ❣❣ i would personally take the Roy Smeck 12-fret any day over the J-45 , but in this video this J-45 sounds better !
I could listen to hours of this... is that possible? Does Carl or your other guitarists just sit and play acoustic only songs/pieces at length? I'd buy that!
@@cartervintagebackstage I have searched for just acoustic guitar music where you can "hear the guitar" and appreciate the sound of a perfectly played J-45 or D18GE or... you get it... I'm a guitar guy and I don't want to listen to over processed, accompanied by other instruments, yada, yada... I want to hear a pure sounding guitar and think about the guitar's qualities and how that player chose that guitar for that song. I don't need 'tapping" and it to be a speed competition to be impressed with someone's playing. I hear more great music just listening to great guitarist play their stuff demo'ing guitars than anyplace else, but they NEVER finish the piece... just hand each of your team a few guitars and have them play their favorite stuff for a few hours and put it up on Spotify or sell CDs or something. Love y'all!
What's the technical term for that "ZING" these guitars have in them? That bright sound you get from a fretted string on vintage models. Modern guitars absolutely lack that sound, they've opted for sparkle and presence. This sound is darker than sparkle, it's a "zing". What do I tell the guitar store people to get that zing??
Is it strange that a channel dedicated to selling me guitars has become the channel I listen to the most often, especially cooking dinner?
Not strange at all! We're glad you're enjoying our videos Joe.

Best Gibson J45 sound around. And what a player!
Love it....Carl, all of your listeners would love to see you put out a disc!
My all-time favorite guitar tone. My dream guitar.
Carl is massively talented!

Double WOW! Sounds great!
He plays differently with every guitar demo brilliant artist
you are one of my favorite guitarist on RUclips!
Carl could make a cinder block sound like the cry of the wild. Amazing beauty.
Yeah that's the kinda sound I've been looking for.
Man, that sounds great, awesome playing too!
I wish this tune was longer.
This might be the best sounding guitar on the planet.
Thank you. Really, really nice touch and playing.
Sounds as good as my 1946 J-45 purchased in 1965 for $100.
Wow this is real guitar sound!! I love it! :)
Fantastique ! Simple et magnifique.
Probably every single guitar played by Carl Miner will sound good

He did say in his interview video that he actually plays one of these most of the time.
Yep. They do😀😀😀

the sound of my home
Sounds amazing!
He is a great player.👍
Vintage Gibsons have such a pretty sound. This is a new "vintage" but in 40 years time it will truly be a jewel. Sounds great already of course.
69 years sounds great still 🎸🇺🇸🎵

Now that's an instrument that should age well.

Gorgeous sounds...what strings are on the J-45?
Carl should do a demo of a 50$ China made guitar just to prove that 80% of how good the guitar sounds is because of his playing.
Wondering what strings are on these demos speially that gibson 😍
What's the name of this song?so nice.tab request?tkx
i do desire this one
What kind of manufacturer is the string?
I want you to tell me.
That sounds like some wicked Whiskey Myers to me.
There's a tab and play along video for this song if anyone's interested - ruclips.net/video/94qOtjHbGnI/видео.html

So the lesson here is everything Carl plays sells... he could make my 80’s ovation sound good... sorry this one is gone..
Great sound, can you share what year this banner is? Where did this guitar end up?
Tremendous sounding Guitar.
Hi David! This guitar has long since sold, and unfortunately the old listing didn't have the year mentioned. Sorry about that!
@@cartervintagebackstage figured as much, thank you so much for getting back to me though. Stay tuned I guess. Best regards David

We're hoping to help Carl produce a collection of recordings pulled from these demos sometime next year!

Not sure that I trust this review. The J-45 sounds amazing but Carl could make a Walmart guitar sound spectacular.
Superb playing, but no clarity in the sound. The new J45 standards are better to my ear ( and to my tarte).
that is not a vintage gibson. who are you trying to fool?
The model is called J-45 vintage :D
Hey Dude, don’t criticize what you don’t understand...
