    Is it strange that a channel dedicated to selling me guitars has become the channel I listen to the most often, especially cooking dinner?

    One of the many things I love about Carl’s playing is that I always hear the guitar’s voice. I know it is Carl playing but he ALWAYS lets the guitar shine and sing. Like the perfect dance partner. I don’t know of any other guitarist who can do that. Especially so beautifully.

    Well, that was a beautiful piece of music. Well played indeed. I bought a J 45 Vintage Custom Shop 2019 half a year ago. I am owner no. 3 , the first was i Germany, the second a fellow here i Denmark - and the strings were of an unknown make - my predecessor had not changed them. It sounded, as expected, excellent. The strings faded a bit in tone over the following months and I converted them to Martin Guitars MA535T Authentic Treated - they are 0.11s. It was like getting a completely different guitar. Even more amazing, still so full of timbre and clarity in every single note, but quite overwhelming and I can't help but wonder if the guy would have sold it if he'd heard it with the new strings.

      Actually, the thermo curing process bakes the atomic structure of the wood and freezes it permanently. Meaning it will never sound better in the future. It will not age like a regular guitar. But I think the tradeoff is worth it.

    • @stasbatov
      @stasbatov Год назад

      @@danherrick5785 it's an interesting theory, but I wouldn't be so sure about it, cause this process is done with the top only but the rest of the wood will age and tone will change anyway. Anyway my one of these 2016 sounds awesome 😊

      @@cartervintagebackstage I have searched for just acoustic guitar music where you can "hear the guitar" and appreciate the sound of a perfectly played J-45 or D18GE or... you get it... I'm a guitar guy and I don't want to listen to over processed, accompanied by other instruments, yada, yada... I want to hear a pure sounding guitar and think about the guitar's qualities and how that player chose that guitar for that song. I don't need 'tapping" and it to be a speed competition to be impressed with someone's playing. I hear more great music just listening to great guitarist play their stuff demo'ing guitars than anyplace else, but they NEVER finish the piece... just hand each of your team a few guitars and have them play their favorite stuff for a few hours and put it up on Spotify or sell CDs or something. Love y'all!

    What's the technical term for that "ZING" these guitars have in them? That bright sound you get from a fretted string on vintage models. Modern guitars absolutely lack that sound, they've opted for sparkle and presence. This sound is darker than sparkle, it's a "zing". What do I tell the guitar store people to get that zing??
