Germany did not play with their starting lineup in this years VNL. In the Olympic qualifying tournament last year they went 7-0 beating Brazil and Italy so I wouldnt count them out on this years olympics
I would put Germany on A+ tier. I saw how they performed during the OQT last year which I think is more important than the 2024 VNL. If im not mistaken they were undefeated in the 2023 OQT.
Id agree Japans a little over hyped but they have gotten 3rd and 2nd the last 2 VNLs losing 3-1 to the eventual champs in each. Bracket play for these Olympics will show what they're truly made of I guess.
USA's men's indoor volleyball team peaked in the 80's when they won two Olympic gold medals with players like Karch Kiraly, Bob Ctvrtlik, Steve Timmons, and Jeff Stork.
Magic at work, they just flow perfectly ! They are more than collegues, they are all close friends and a great team mentality and that show on the court. And I think their mental game played a big part of beating Poland 3-0
I am hopeful for the turkish team in the next years vnl they were very bad this year but the thing that I noticed was they started well in the beginning of the match and then they lost motivation and the coach did nothing about it! With the coach changing I hope they will be better. I have high hopes for especially Efe Mandıracı and Kaan Gürbüz
there was also plenty of errors with the womens team too they were not even near their best form but I am hopeful about olympics with Zehra and Hande coming back
Unfortunately you are right, we were way better in men but with the coaches' energy and sweet words but our last two coaches did nothing about this and then our men started losing their motivation. I know who they are and how much they can do. We watch their league matches all the time. That's why i said that. Anyways, hopefully they will get better in the next VNL because they deserve need it.

I watch just the 2 finals sets of the match against Japan so i really can't say much, but that men did nothing outstanding and really sucked at all of his serves in very decisive moments. No hate but for me, he is too old to play in a international level and they just included him because he is about to retire.

I would change the following things: Japan still isn't good enough to be considered GOAT imo. This year they just had an easy path to the VNL Final but compared to an actual 'Goat' team, they are still not quite there. So I'd put them in A+ Also I would switch Slovenia and the US. Right now the US just seems a bit burned out with no real vision of what their game should look like. They don't seem to have evolved since last year and it shows if teams like Iran can counter them. For Slovenia though, they are just in their prime. This team is so well put together and they really put up a fight no matter what. It's not only this years VNL but also 4th place at Worlds 2022 which makes me confident in saying that they belong in A+ Despite that Germany is insanely underrated in your list. They have consistently won against Bulgaria, Cuba and Serbia in the past few years which should earn them a place in C Tier above the other teams. I wish I could watch my nation having an insane run like last year in the Olympic qualification but it doesn't seem like Grozer is playing at the level that is mandatory to carry this team once again

I would change the following things:
Japan still isn't good enough to be considered GOAT imo. This year they just had an easy path to the VNL Final but compared to an actual 'Goat' team, they are still not quite there. So I'd put them in A+
Also I would switch Slovenia and the US. Right now the US just seems a bit burned out with no real vision of what their game should look like. They don't seem to have evolved since last year and it shows if teams like Iran can counter them. For Slovenia though, they are just in their prime. This team is so well put together and they really put up a fight no matter what. It's not only this years VNL but also 4th place at Worlds 2022 which makes me confident in saying that they belong in A+
Despite that Germany is insanely underrated in your list. They have consistently won against Bulgaria, Cuba and Serbia in the past few years which should earn them a place in C Tier above the other teams. I wish I could watch my nation having an insane run like last year in the Olympic qualification but it doesn't seem like Grozer is playing at the level that is mandatory to carry this team once again
