  • In this video I compare the Rode Wireless Go 2 with the Rode Wireless Pro 32 bit Float. I've been using the Rode Wireless Go 2 for about a year and a half now. Every time I export it says I am exporting in 32 bit float. Am I really? Find out in this video if the Rode Wireless Pro has true 32 bit float. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments below.

I think the included accessories without the 32 bit and time code alone is with it. The lav mic sounds really good. I’m just waiting for more review before purchasing. Great video.

Yep, you're just exporting the clipped audio into a 32bit float wrapper. It was still recorded in straight 24 bit which bakes in the clipped audio. The flexibility of 32 bit float in this new system is well worth it.

Been uaing the dji mics for a while, and just got the rw pros yestetday. They're really good, I think it sounds a bit more natural and cleaner than the dji's, but both are great setups. 32 bit float is really nice, and I'm finding the gain assist on the RX side is really good too.

Hello, simple question. Can you use the receiver as a mic, like on the “me”? I don’t like lavaliers. Thank you, Frans

Can u repair the internal recording on the videofile also, or do u always need to export it directly from the rode?

You cannot repair the file that comes from the camera. That is whatever Audio Bit Rate your camera outputs onto the card. For example the Canon C70 will record 24 bit onto the camera’s audio. Unless it is through hdmi then it will be 16 bit. I have a video coming out tomorrow that will explain a little how the time code will help make that not so annoying to time up in post production.

The Wireless go II don´t got 32bit recording. The 32bit export is like you render a 480p recorded video in 4K

Do the rodes record 32bit float directly in camera or do you have to export it from the Rode Central app?

With these rodes you dont have to export with an app. All you have to do is plug them in on the computer and dump them like a normal drive. And yes it is 32bit when you dump directly with finder. No more opening apps unless you just want to. You cannot record directly to camera 32bit unfortunately. Most camera's dont support that anyways. You should watch my video were I explain how the 32bit works.

Receiver is lacking headphone port. Funny that Rode includes timecode connection for the camera but there is no way to monitor the audio during use of the timecode, camera operator will just have to wait for the playback since timecode is already a lot of convenience better not include too much or else it might make sense.

I get it. The frustration is real. But there is a headphone jack but it's the same port as the Microphone port. It will work both ways but not at the same time of course. Only good for when you are using with cell phone
