General rule, softer rear/harder front sway bars will reduce oversteer; the opposite is also true. Harder suspension makes the car feel more responsive, but also more twitchy. In some games, dampers should always be harder than springs as it will help handling without making it hard to drive. Toe in will increase stability (great for high speeds) while toe out will give you a bit more turning for those tight corners. Negative camber increases grip only while cornering, and values up to -3 degrees will generally have no effect in straight line grip. Positive camber reduces cornering grip, same 3 degree rule (usually, varies with simulator/game). Ride height is self explanatory, you want the lowest possible as long as you don't scrape the floor too much. Lower tire pressure will increase grip at the cost of top speed, opposite is true. You can't have a best setup for everything, but if you tune the right cars properly (Elise is great on tight circuits while something like a Ford GT is best on open ones) you can get through events easily.
Onur Tintaş lower tire pressure means there will be more surface are for the tire and road to meet. It’s most effective in tight corners, but it kinda takes longer to reach top speeds , hopefully this helps
@@onurtintas Increases contact surface at the cost of increasing rolling resistance. Your top speed can be much lower if you lower pressure too much, but you will get more grip at all speeds.
Hey, it seems that you have lots of experience in tunig. Like do I have to make both tire pressure options on the same slider level or do I have to balance them (front tire more pressure and rear tire pressure less pressure)?
This game still has some good vibes. Watched a video about the game last week and that gave me chills and vibes from my childhood (used to play on ps2) and now im again addicted to it on xbox360 xD
You're not 14 years late, I found this video at just the right time, which was firing it back up for the nostalgia, and to beat my mom at it again just like the old days. Thanks for posting this!
I dont care if you are 13 years late, this game is better then most need for speed games today, and that's saying something... for a game that was released in "07" it just brings a smile to my face that people still play this game. And I hope this game becomes backwards compatible for the new consoles
I remember my first time playing nfs pro street and I used to hate grip race so much because it made my fingers tired, now I know how to tune my car and I start getting better at grip races
not late at all, if anything it's perfect timing. got back to this game in quarantine to appreciate it more, but the tuning in it is.. not the most ideal
About three years early for me! Decided to fire this up for nostalgia, and found myself constantly retrying events cause my Viper just wouldn't turn. I have some more fine tuning I gotta do, but this *really* helped! Thanks for this!
I usually go with lower positive values in suspension, focusing on adjusting handling bias and improving stability where needed. So I usually -10 tire pressure, +5ish neg. camber, and sometimes -2ish steering rack.
Uni student here on my 360 since my younger brother gets to keep the Xbox 1 (the little b@stard). This guide helped me alot thanks, the Xbox 360/PS3 era of games is incomparable.
Still playing this and I gotta say thank you cause BMW M3 is the car I use as my main one (I customized it to look as close to the M3 from MW as possible) and handling was strange to say the least but thanks to that video now it's fun to drive.
You made your M3 look like the MW one? Same here! Pulled up a model of the car and spent about an hour and a half making mine when I got the car. Ended up hitting the 20 layer limit lol
@@Car27Racer yeap same here it took me about 2 hours and i can't add anything else to it but i'm very satisfied with it. Although the layer limit did became an issue eventually but i'd say my model is about 90% identical to the original NFS MW BMW M3. Unless you compare it side by side you can't tell the deference but it's not 100% accurate there were some parts that i couldn't do. I wish i could upload a picture to show you.
You are awesome just because you're playing pro street. I'm playing it too, and if you're...well 13 years late, is cool to see someone play this game. It could be really awesome if this game has a online feature still available
2020 was a renaissance period for both Prostreet, Carbon and Undercover?! Yes Undercover as well, getting it and Prostreet out of their graves that they were buried in these past years enabled people to actually see these games from a different aspect. Undercover was given the highly successful Reformed Mod and Prostreet the Pepega mod, which enabled very different yet amazing experiences for these 2 games. Carbon received the Battle Royale mod, which made the short 6hr campaign into a huge 24hr. Although Carbon was very well received by Fans, It lived under MW's shadow for these years, and now 18 years later it has finally made it's own identity. It is now known for it's death defying Canyon Duels, and mysteries surrounding it's development and other in game mysterious things Same goes for Prostreet and Undercover. Prostreet is known for' it's absolute chaotic and terrifying Speed Races. I think every Prostreet player doesn't need a reminder of why this track stands out. Sense of Speed and Customization and tuning are 3 very strong points of this game. Yes, Prostreet was very different from what the general NFS formula was, but honestly I rank Prostreet in the top 10. Undercover is know for it's hilarity and it's just bad gameplay, but the modding community has fixed this now, Graphical mods that make it look superioir then same games released after it. As for Handling Reformed Mod and Exposed Mod both refine and the original handling into something sensible, as well as fix general issues to.
I have a really good grip tuning for my s13 in my opinion. I've used it for beating, Ryo and Ray Krieger. And I have not sold it since I could use it for the entire game.
@@SHDWSKII Does this info apply the same to the FWD cars too? Id love to murk racers with the Integra but see, it's pretty hard to win with a car like that mainly since FWD has better grip but traction is hardest to find
Bro, tbh u have chosen quite an easy map for such testing because most of the cars after slight tune will go throw easy corners like in that map. You better did the video on the quite cheesy and sketchy map with short straight lines and hard corners. Thanks anyway
what the... okay. im gonna start to tune my 350z, it's already good, a bullet in the straight aways since I did tune it to the fullest, but the issue is the really bad corners, im mostly fighting with the car, sometimes it understeers, sometimes it starts to slide during corners (most of times it does after doing the corner, which stresses me out, since most of times I need to slide in order to get out of that corner quick) im gonna just tune it, since i did tune the charger and oh boy, i for sure cooked, the thing goes like a rocket, and fourth gear is no longer a problem
Don't know if you still do guides for prostreet I'm 3 years to late to this video. But how about a guide for small tighter trick like for g effect races.
I already used 3 cars for grip mode: Eclipse, M3 E46, Subaru Impreza STI, they are all suck eclipse has a very serious understeer problem, it's a fake 4wd car I think M3 drives like its rear part gonna throw out of the road Subaru is better than those 2 cars above, but still can't defeat those g0dd4mn untouchable AIs in Mondello Park time attack, fu3king rubberbanding anyway I'm very appreciate for your guide
i recently just started playing again just built a full on 03 mustang race car and im trying to dial it in with cornering cause right now it hates low speed cornering, it just wants to drift

any advice for eclipse circuit? in drag it has so much potential, i ran averagely 11.40 but i keep adjusting my drag build, im 5 years into it (1/2) the goal is completed, mine was 10.99 (maybe something bugged or i dont know but never ran any 10s once again.. ) 1/4 the usual is 7.5, my goal is 6.9
I got a Camaro SS that I tuned to hit 7.5s on ¼ mile. Most of my tuning was in the suspension cause it kept doing wheelies like there was no tomorrow, but I hope this can help! Personally, I went with about 5 to 6 to the right for all suspension (shock compression, shock rebound and spring rate), and slammed the car to the floor. With camber, I found out that 3 positive generally allows for higher top speed with little penalty on grip. The little tuning I did to the engine was setting the nitro jet flow rate all the way to the maximum.
Anyone here can help me? Sometimes when I start a race, my car always start with the highest gear, so I always get behind in start, anyone know how to fix that?
if you're playing with mouse & kb look that you didn't bind any of your movement/acceleration/gear up-down keys in one of the individual gear keys, dunno why they have it like that but sometimes one can get confused and place sometime like w (usually for acceleration) in the 6th gear. If you're playing with an xbox or ps controller then dunno how to help you, maybe google has the solution.

Will it increase cars grip at high speeds or in general?
