The system is pressurised.Running off a 10k header tank water goes through a Select doser 640 for water sanitiser. The pigs then drink out of a Jags drinker

round bales are rolled out on the cat walk. many use square bale put on a trolly and rolled down

Hi TheNorthernLad, we are on a contract with BQP who own all the pigs.
Roughly how many straw bales do you use a year
should be 120 kg of straw per pig place per annum. this give 700kg of FYM per pig place
How long do you spend in this shed each day
i would expect average about 2hrs
how much did that shed cost to build
Hi Jed, I think the final total all in was around £230K
Do you still have the out of farm job?
Hi David, yes I still have a off the farm job as the farm cannot support the four of us. I also have the new venture in the pub.
how much money we you earn per year from the pigs
Hi Jed, its difficult to say as we have a huge loan on the build, but i would say after loan payments around £10k pa
