I have one of these! I didn't know they were rare, my father found it for me at a thrift store in the 90's.

I'm blown away how long it spun on the trapeze for such an old fixed axle.

I had something very similar to this when I was younger. It was an 8ball though (a aesthetic that I'd love to see on a modern yoyo, hell I'd LOVE an 8ball counter weight).
It was certainly unique, I couldn't do much with it, but you're right about the catches. Felt incredibly satisfying.

You should make more videos on 4a yo-yos such as yoyofactory flight, Duncan skyhawk, and Duncan pandamonium

That would make it 58 years old but very impressive for that age

For a split second I thought "has this guy seriously gotten into bowling as well" Ever since I discovered your channel years ago we have managed to get into the same hobbies about the same time. hydrodipping, 3d printing, balisongs, and fidget toys but that one everyone was into. Lately youtube has been spamming me with bowling videos for some reason making me want to get into it for some reason.
There is a part of me that is surprised you didn't get into smash bros melee or destiny 2 or mechanical keyboards since I got sucked into those in the past few years.

I just put a $40 bid last night. I was hoping to find a review video for it but no luck. Found a similar bowling ball one as well.

Well after seeing this video yesterday I had to have one. I checked ebay and found one that looked to be decent shape (in need of a new string but that would happen regardless) for about $25 shipped. usps says it will be here tomorrow.

The vintage ones play a lot better. Something about the way they feel on the string is so satisfying. I have an old coca cola one and it is very well made. There newer Chinese ones are just no comparison. Obviously Duncan makes legit throws still but they don't make this style like they used to. That bowling ball one looks premium. I kinda want one now.

That looks awesome! How did you get the string off, I got a 70s butterfly and it's been impossible to remove the old string.

You sure that's not the yoyo ball that just used its own spring and requires no skill?
