It's a terrible shame what's happened to Peavey. They could have ruled the modeling amp and software world with the Vypyr series and Revalver. It took a year to bring the Vypyr 100 pro to market and by then they'd already fumbled Revalver as well. The Peavey forum full of loyal customers had all the answers but Peavey completely ignored them. For some reason Peavey has no idea how to market their products. I remember the tube Vypyr had no demo videos until the UK sales rep took it upon himself with no help from Peavey to do it. It was the only demo of the tube Vypyr on RUclips for years. How you can have the gear, studio space, talented performers, and zero product demo videos shows an appalling lack of business acumen. I really hope someone steps in and saves this great American brand.
WOW! Original Vandenberg. NO ONE makes a short scale shredder... but Peavey:) I had an original and LOVED it:) I have a later model with a Poplar body, that sux however:)
Kramer nightswann is short scale. Ltd Has a short scale V (I think both the Mille signature model and the MSV-1 are short). Kiesel has a short scale option on one of the Jason Becker models or did. They are pretty rare though.
@@JD-vj4go I didn't know that about a Kramer nightswan. ESP does have some thin necks, but not in a super strat style. Kiesel only recently started putting thin necks on some axes. I bought up a bunch of Charvel and Jackson Fusions, before they were cool and more expensive:)
@@MrTooter007 I don't know if the Rockmaster had the same circuitry as the 6506/6505+ though. I guy I used to jam with a had one....he used to run it through a Mesa poweramp, and a 412 Marshall cab. As far as looking for a Rockmaster....I don't know why Peavey doesn't reissue them or make a whole new tube guitar preamp.
Go watch the episode of undercover boss, that visits the peavey factory. Youll be even less impressed with Hartley and his company. I wont buy their products anymore.
Shame you silly kids think reality shows are 'reality', while you type on a phone made by 5year old Chinese kids, who have 'suicide nets' around their buildings.

Peavey needs to make a 6505+ tube preamp.....I would buy one in a heartbeat!
They did! It was called Peavey Rockmaster, an all tube rackmount unit that the 5150 amp came from. Look them up! They are still out there used.

why aren’t they still not on sale? I like my 6505+ but the lead channel has too much low end cut for me. really want a kore fuzzy original variant
Not good that the company that was producing the "same amp" for decades didn't realize that it wasn't really the same tone...

Omg they want to recreate the crappy Sheffield speakers?😢😢
Personally was my first cabinet from the Peavey Supreme series and I loved them! So great low end and smooth high tones

I only buy Peaveys used
@@jonnylawless6797 you do you but after you watch the episode im referring to, you will quit buying them altogether.

The Sheffield was awful. It's not the intended speaker. A few channels on here discuss and a/b it against V30's, and the vintage works much better.
