Luke seems such a good sport! These bikes are a bit of a revolution. You no longer have to be a "biker" to enjoy biking and they turn a bike ride into an adventure rather than just a biker's ride. Luke must have gone many times further than he would have on a conventional bike and with leisure to focus on the surroundings rather than just the struggle of the ride.
Luke, you were so gracious when you fell in the mud, "Oh Dear." I'm not sure that would have been my response haha! Great bike, beautiful estate & the bathroom will be gorgeous!
I loved Luke's joy at sharing the beauty of the land, as well as his discussions with Raymond on drainage pipes and passing the house and land on to the boys!
It was great to go along on the bike tour of the estate. It gave a whole new perspective of the area of estate rather than just seeing a specific area (which is also very enjoyable). In the future having fat bikes to rent and ride about would be fun, placing benches to sit on and rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Mapperton area. Could bring sandwiches from the cafe with the understanding all trash was carry out (maybe containers from the cafe with a deposit left that you receive back when containers are returned). Great video as usual!
It was amazing to see you have an Iron Age fort on the Mapperton estate as well! The property has every aspect of British history, such a wonderful place to live!
Very much enjoyed Luke's estate tour. So beautiful. Let's have more Luke (and Nestor if you can talk him into it 😉) Looking forward to another wilding video when you have time in your very busy life! Keep up the excellent work.
This is going to be a beautiful on-suite bathroom to the Chapel Bedroom! You are doing a lovely job with great picks with Malcolm. You work too hard Julie. Please take some time off to take care of yourself like going to a spa to be pampered! You deserve it!
It looks just beautiful, Julie! 🎉 I love this cozy room! The shape of it is splendid and looking out across the gardens/pool is amazing 😊! Looking forward to your video!
My monitor showed that paint color as a 'mist' color! Gorgeous! Imagining soaking in that tub full of warm water and bubbles while looking out the window enjoying the view! What a life! Loved going on that bike ride with Luke through the grounds! Not even a bit of motion sickness! Beautiful green fields! Lucky cows!
Julie is so slim and lovely and healthy looking!! Her yoga really pays off. I should take it up! I really like the new bike Luke has the Himiway, it looks strong and sturdy and attractive as well.
Looks nice. At my age I dream of having things put in order. Life gives you a bad deal then you have to deal with it. My life is in turmoil so watching this knowing you have people behind you donating money for your home makes me sad. I’m sorry but I am going through something that that money can fix it. I don’t have people giving me money like they have to get their home in order. I still like seeing this family so happy.
What a beautiful place 🥰❗️ I don’t know how I found your channel but I sure am glad that I did. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you. I Just subscribed and hope to see you soon. Blessings from Paso Robles, California, Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊🇺🇸
My question on the Victorian drainage system is this: Is this a system similar to a septic tank and drainage field? Watching a story on Prince Albert & the then Prince of Wales both suffered from typhoid perhaps from "faulty drains". Would love to see more episodes on the drainage system and did see the toilet tour episode. A little off beat for most, but Victorian plumbing is quite interesting.
I missed the “live” premiere but, I’m here now! Hello 👋🏻 Luke, Julie and everyone there from Virginia USA 🇺🇸 Much love to you all there at Mapperton and my favorite ❤️ England 🏴 in the UK 🇬🇧
@@MappertonLive • Thank you 😊 for answering my comment ♥️. Wish I lived near by so I could volunteer to help you guys out in some tangible way. At least I can support you on Patreon
That seems like a really good idea for business and the bikes would provide a way for guests to see much more than just by walking. I hope they notice your suggestion.
@@underwaterdroneservices7292 yes they could have GPS on them so they always knew how to retrieve if guests became lost. They could charge by day or by hour for use.
@@annettegreer2425 Thinking about it, this might be a liability issue. Powered vehicles all on their own property. Insurance cost might be astronomical or maybe not even available.
Gosh with luke trying to argue he should be allowed into a confined space, I had my hands over my eyes praying Raymond would stand his ground and not let luke go in. Good lord. I’m an engineer and confined spaces are not to be messed with!! Even the most innocent looking hole/chamber can be hiding completely unbreathable air at the bottom and once one person is overcome it can be nearly impossible to rescue them because others risk meeting the same fate. It doesn’t matter what the hole/chamber is used for, they are all potentially dangerous. Farmers and industrial workers die this way in silos and tanks/pits every year. Don’t become one of them! Listen to Raymond luke!! In fact, set a good example and explain to your audience why you should NEVER climb down into a pit like that without the appropriate protective equipment and air quality detectors.
unacknowledged in the discussion about wastewater is the critical difference between grey and blackwater. In 1900 blackwater may still have been handled as it was in medieval times? I.e. not shown in plumbing plans nor incorporated in wastewater drains? I.e. descending into wastewater collection drain pits would be significantly less perilous than assumed here. It would no doubt be too much to assume that Utube viewers would be sufficiently attracted to the beauty of the house alone.
😎 I viewed and loved the bike tour a week or so ago. I remember that very early "Let's go on a Picnic" video - so funny.🚵♀ Of course the bathroom is a marvel. If they ever produce a Bathrooms of Britain coffee table book, this Chapel Room will be the flat-out star of the show !!🏅🚽🪠🚿🛁
Luke - next time get a map of the estate and mark your route on it so we can better see where you are relative to everything.
That would be awesome to have.
Once again Malcolm delivers on paint and window dressing. Great colors. Can’t wait to see the bathroom finished.
I love how the gardener says "No, Luke" so patiently to the Viscount. 🙂

For us architecture nerds, it was fun to see the maps of pipes. More videos of sharing/showing/explaining mechanicals please!
I love Raymond and his dedication to Mapperton. What a treasure!
Fully enjoyed the bike tour of the estate, Luke ! The property is quite beautiful. What a priveledge to be surrounded by such beauty ❤
Very much enjoyed the bike ride through the estate - thanks so much for taking us along!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Ride was amazing, Luke. Definitely a nice way to get about Mapperton.
Luke and his cool bike..awesome!
The bathroom will look so elegant with the crystal chandelier-I love it! Vinegar and water solution will really make those crystals dazzle!
❤ this episode! Julie and Malcom picking colors! Luke’s adventurous ride around the estate! And Luke and Raymond explaining the drains! Fascinating!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful land! Well kept.
Your guests will love those bikes for trails on the estate! Awesome!
I think so too!
😅 I appreciate the well-humoured bits.
It was amazing to see you have an Iron Age fort on the Mapperton estate as well! The property has every aspect of British history, such a wonderful place to live!
Hi Luke, really enjoyed your bike ride. Could you please consider cycling around some of the villages near Mappleton so we could see them too.
Great suggestion!
Congratulations on the mystery house week on Historic Houses!

Will you create bike paths around the estate for visitors, guests as activities
What an absolutely beautiful piece of land. You and Julie are wonderful caretakers of it.
Beautiful video - love seeing the decorating and choices you make ! Loved Luke's tour, would love to have his bike -just great!
Thanks so much! 😊
I think this place is too nice to make a bathroom. It would be a wonderful place to sit and read and dream with the look in the landscape.
I suspect there will be room for comfy chair too!
I'd settle into that bathtub & enjoy a good book myself.

Bathroom with a amazing view ! 🤗
I enjoyed the bike ride across the estate. Thank you.
LOVE the paint you chose for the bathroom (my choice too!). Can't wait to see the finished product!
Love the color scheme of the bathroom 😍What a lovely tour of the estate 😍Wish I had Luke’s bike 🚴 😍😘
I love Luke's bike ride. Fantastic way to show the estate's beauty.
I love the shape of the bathroom!
I keep looking at the windows thinking what a great study space it would have been- the view. I'm sure it will look lovely.
Just returned from a 3 week driving tour of Scotland. We toured many homes and castles. Loved the history of the UK.
Just beautiful!! I think the color you chose could be called "English Sky". 🥰
For me the first colour was the one, peaceful and elegant
Missed the premier because new bus on Saturday in my area in Vermont and New Hampshire
Luke you were like
Martijn Doolaard on ur cycle..😅...make sure you clean it off after EACH ride...AND wear ur 👢...
Thank GOD for Raymond..❤carry on..

Julie, I absolutely love that red outfit!
My husband has an electric bike with fat tires too. He loves it!
Hola from Honduras! Another fun chapter from Adventures of Luke & Julie! 🥰
Beautiful bike tour!! And, the bathroom Reno was great too!!
Thanks so much!
You could see if that electric bike company wants to provide more bikes for you to set up a bike route 😁
That was great Luke ❤. That bike looks so cool and the estate looks glorious 😍

Lovely video. I hope to visit there one day. From NZ.
I hope so too!
you guys actually managed to make the Himiway ad interesting lol
Confined spaces are very dangerous. Good man
You need a fleet of the bikes for your future guests.
That seems like a really good idea for business and the bikes would provide a way for guests to see much more than just by walking. I hope they notice your suggestion.

That romantic algae picnic 😂😂 memory
giant gourami fish can eat some type of plant leaf and insect. this fish can grow up to 33cm. albino color available.
The thick muddy patch needs some stone padding to make it possible to get traction.
I have both of those colours of marmoleum in my bathrooms.
How did I know you would choose a greenish shade of paint?! 😁
Hello Julie, The paint color that you choose was beautiful. Can you tell me the color and the brand of paint you used? Thank you! Mare S.
Sure! it's Little Green number 100, Pearl
Did they film the sound of music there? If so where is the hill that Maria twirled?
Is the paint color being shared ?
When were these earlier episodes done, and which episode numbers? Thanks
Would power washing the outside be to hard on cleaning the exterior.
Did Luke say William and then Nestor will look after Mapperton?
No wonder you’re having algae blooms in the pool! That’s where it gets all the organic matter and nutrients 😂.
Why don’t you do something with the stonework? It looks crumbly to me. I really don’t know anything about it but I’m curious.
Luke, if you'd just nik the motor out of someone's Tesla you could speed through that mud and across those fields at 150 miles an hour in 5 seconds!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Raymond's knowledge of the estate is huge - hopefully he is training someone to be able to assist and take over when he retires.
Luke and Julie I would like to become a Patron but can I send the payments each month and not all at once?
Yes, that's how Patreon works. Thank you! Check it out here: www.patreon.com/americanviscountess

A bit disappointed the video was only slightly about the bathroom
More coming soon as we have nearly finished it so will do an entire episode on the bathroom from start to finish.
