While this is a tremendously tactile box for a pleasurable Harshness, I find it also excels in general texture. I recently set up a simple eurorack box and with a juicy filter, you can achieve some highly articulate drones and sweeps that don't need much else in the way of processing. With that many oscillators, the dark, detuned possibilities are begging to be experienced. I also love a good parallel processing for the Maximal, with a loop blender from Saturnworks. With that little thing, I grab a Fuzz and layer the clean signal... and daaaaamn 😮
Great vid! Super synth. You know you've become a "Noisehead" when you start to feel you need to hear some drone sounds rather than listen to anything else. 😊 If you enjoy this, check out JMT Synth's ittle known NTS-4. They can go great together also.
Hi! I wanted to know how did you record the Max and the Distortion pedal? Should I make a feedback loop in my mixer beforehand and do something with that;; or rather how would I record? I'm *very very* new to this, and just wanted to know how to before sinking a chunk into it. Thank you!
No need to make a feedback loop! I recorded this episode by running the signals into my Presonus audio interface which allows me to record onto my computer. I use Reaper for audio recordings, and OBS for video+audio recordings. If you want to record onto your computer, i highly suggest getting an audio interface such as the Presonus Audiobox USB 96 (what i started with). This will allow you to record your instruments into your computer, wayyyy better than plugging in through your computer's mic in / soundcard. If you dont want to record direct onto your computer, you can get a 4track tape machine, or a digital zoom recorder. Let me know if you have any more questions!
Thank you very much for this! So glad that you like it. I really dig the sounds you pulled from it. Enjoying watching through your other reviews now.
I prefer his 8-bit Synthesizer, but Rucci is one of those brilliant creators out there.
Great piece of equipment had one for years in my noise chain!
Great review. I have one. Always a challenge and always a journey to find some very cool sounds.
Ehehe this is awesome!
Great with effect pedals too damn!
Thanks for doing this review. I am a noise maker so appreciated the simple first half but then you run it through the pedals 🤘
🔥🔥🔥
Excellent review! I had the Minimal Drone but it didn't meet my expectations so I got rid of it. Might try to get my hands on this one
It makes similar sounds, just at a few more frequencies.

sick! Vomir vibes
Nice! Great review! I use oscillators somehow the same, only I just got 2 separate oscillators/tone generators (test equipment)

He makes a CV sequencer that works great with this.
How do you connect it to a synth
it is a synth. not sure what you mean. it only produces audio and has no CV controls.
Check out his 8-bit Synthesizer to hear one that's based on musical scales.

Do i need a laptop original can i only use the maximal drone?
@@timnoller1180 no need for a laptop to make noise with the max drone. just plug it into your amp or mixer or pedals.
