I can confirm the uncanny valley experience is very real, you really do *switch off* in a way and it's only later that you are able to think it over and through and you are even perplexed at your own reaction at the time.
I talked with a sheep farmer years ago. I don't remember what led up to it but he was complaining about having to pay some fella from the Irish atomic agency to come and geiger counter the sheep every year before they went to slaughter.
I think I'm right in suggesting that John Keel had a men in black experience, whilst investing the Mothman, in Point Pleasant. If not him personally, someone associated with the phenomenon.
I experienced the same alpha wave, ethereal feeling when I saw a sasquatch. Afterwards I thought of all the things I should have done and going back to bed while it was still there, definitely wasn't one of them.
I can't comment on the men in black side of it, but I've had a glow in the dark experiance a few years back that spooked me, at least briefly, until I realised what was going on. I live in the woods well away from the road and neighbors, so when one night after I switched off the light a light shone into my my window, I was pretty scared it was an intruder. When it didn't move I gingerly went to the window and discovered that the bag of shrimps I bought that day and put on the window sill - the coolest safe place for having no fridge at the time, was glowing brightly. I then remembered that shrimp in particular will glow when certain bacteria start to proliferate, so luminescence in this case. Perhaps it's the same with certain types of sheep.
How wonderful, what a great idea. It was really weird, for some reason all day and this evening I was sure HF was going to be on at eight even though I knew the show was not yet due!!!

I would find it very interesting if you and Sarah could have a look at AI alchemy like will humans and AI end up creating some sort of a hybrid religion based on some sort of digital quantum alchemy or something high-tech and paganism or her medicine into the public consciousness. I find it very strange how old customs that were kept for maybe thousands of years handed down the generations such as placing items in the walls of buildings just suddenly stopped...Dont know if anybody has looked into things like Tartaria and the orphans after supposedly many adults died so they shipped orphans off around the world but something like an event such as that could explian why old customs suddenly ceased.
The oddest things happen, and they find it hard to control these days, because of internet. Sheep and luminous stuck in my mind, and sure enough in Uruguay in the early 2010's they pumped fluorescents into sheep, doing experiments. I remember Dolly the sheep, and Chernobyl chicken as well. The children being shipped off like that, has happened so much. Even not that long ago in Ireland many Irish babies made their way over to places like America, usually an Air hostess from Aer Lingus would accompany the baby. Until the new American family or their representatives were present for the "handover". Shocking really.

Uncanny Valley, in general, says to me that our ancestors encountered something dangerous that looked or mimicked us.
