I am a big big car enthusiast but I have very recently learnt how to drive. I just came across this channel and boy I am enlightened. This is going to be my go-to-binge-watch channel now! Loved it! Thanks guys!!
I started following you after I saw the J-turn video on Verna. I have been waiting for such videos ever since then. Thanks for this great one! 😊 Please keep making such videos. 🙏
I have never such a mind blowing video for a noob like me in a while. Enthusiast and total newbies like me were looking for exactly this kind of video.
Great video as usual Sirish, glad to see your rallying roots help us understand how to drive better ourselves. One minor thing though @1:42 the voice over says 6 speed but the gear shift lever is 5 forward gears and one reverse. Don't we usually mention the gearbox by the number of forward gears? Sorry, I'm confused because @3:15 it is 6 forward gears...
Check at @ 1:43 - the XUV 300 Turbosport has 6 forward gears. And you only include the forward gears when you talk about the gearbox. Same with a 5-speed gearbox = 5 forward gears.
Everything looks good, but for emergency braking, you should press the brake pedal first and the clutch later-right before the car comes to a complete stop. It seems there was a small mix-up in the demonstration at 10:41.
Toughest part to master in heel and toe technique is delicately managing the amount of brake pressure while simultaneously blipping the throttle, coz a lot of times with the sudden blip I end up pressing the brake pedal more than required causing unwanted jerking
absolutely loved the video as usual😍 just one thing, I watched this one on the laptop and the volume felt very low, I checked with other videos too. But particularly this one felt low.
Most cars, 5th gear is overdrive which is for cruising and fuel efficiency. Shifting quickly from 4th to 5th is of no real use unless you are doing a standing 1km run. But in any case, 4th to 5th can be done as fast as 3rd to 4th. No difference.
Easier method, launch from neutral: Rev with foot on clutch and stick it to 1st letting go the clutch. No need to juggle with the hand brake or foot brake.
It's sad we don't have any rear wheel drive cars with manuals in India. (Except ECCO and a few SUV's) Those are real drifters. Front wheel drives only slide.
Slipping a clutch is essentially "half clutch" driving - where depress the pedal to a point where the clutch isn't completely engaged. Thus, letting it slip a bit.
Nothing like that. You just need to know where the torque band is, and launch appropriately. Just make sure you give the car (irrespective of fuel) a rest between launches.
But it can be done without handbrake. Bcs it can be done by down brake half race half on brake rev and at time release from brake quickly done no need to use handbrake
@@evoIndiamay be but with 4 wheel lock u will drop the torque on that point when all wheel release at same time so no loss of power and no back going on car

It's a 6-speed Anil, there's reflection on the knob at the start which makes it look like there's 5 gears.
Ah got it, my bad. Thanks team!
Check at @ 1:43 - the XUV 300 Turbosport has 6 forward gears. And you only include the forward gears when you talk about the gearbox. Same with a 5-speed gearbox = 5 forward gears.

Hello sir can you arranged this drifting academy because I want learn it
Yes sir @evoindia
That would need a lot of planning. Let's see what we can do about it.
awesome ..... plz do a live tutorial demo of such skills in Kolkata. these need to be learnt and tried in real life and not just virtually...
Thanks Sounak, and we'll see what we can do about a live tutorial.
Bring real high performance sports
Cars Btw amazing video ❤
It's more fun to do it in cars that we drive everyday, no? Plus the XUV300 has a great rally pedigree.
@@evoIndia yes that’s true though
10:41 you pressed the clutch first...why?
So as to not stall the engine. That was a basic braking explanation .
Toughest part to master in heel and toe technique is delicately managing the amount of brake pressure while simultaneously blipping the throttle, coz a lot of times with the sudden blip I end up pressing the brake pedal more than required causing unwanted jerking

Dads wondering why the tires on the car don't last long enough. Seee this.
Great stuff Sirish
Hahaha! Easy way to make Dad angry! :P
All this can be done with xuv300 master piece
Yes, and not just the XUV, any car that you can practice in.
12:38 Heel & tow is very useful when you need sudden power just down shift and zoom
Plus it helps with longevity of the components
yeah and it really needs for quick overtake and tight corner
Great! Now everyone is Speed Racer
This isn't as easy. A lot of practice would be needed to nail it.

i swear right. which laptop?
How to do this in Automatic Transmission
When will it start??
Right about now!
is this possible with maruti estilo, as our dad has estilo
pressing accelerator while clutch engaged during rev matching causes wear and tear of clutch ??
Btw which shoes are those Sirish ?? 🔥
7:44 left foot on the brake. Right foot on the acceleration. Aaaaaandd…ifywim
That you'd do on an automatic.
Very good model and extra function .....
A cool car for sure!
Can you please demo such on sedans like virtus and Slavia? People would love it...

Is there any higher speed limit above which we should not slam the brakes ?🤔 does electronics take care at all speeds?
You can slam the brakes at top speed and they system won't even flinch.

Not if you are careful
How to fast shift from 4th to 5th? I'm new driver. I feel that I'm taking too much time
Practice! A good way is to practice shifting while being stationary, with the ignition off. Start slow and then build your speed up.
Most cars, 5th gear is overdrive which is for cruising and fuel efficiency. Shifting quickly from 4th to 5th is of no real use unless you are doing a standing 1km run. But in any case, 4th to 5th can be done as fast as 3rd to 4th. No difference.
gonna try this in polo tdi
Start gradually and be careful, and never do this on a public road.
@@evoIndia ya I’m sure on that never gonna try in public roads ✌🏻
Easier method, launch from neutral: Rev with foot on clutch and stick it to 1st letting go the clutch. No need to juggle with the hand brake or foot brake.
I would suggest if the car was somewhat sponsered to mentioned in the video, you guy's should mention it
I'm in america, but I've watched so many british driving videos lately I didn't even notice his wheel on the wrong side until 15 minutes in.
How would this car compare with C3 shine turbo ?
We will have to test them back-to-back to find out Jose.
Clutch plate crying in the corner!😭😂
Learn by doing them. Not all cars are same ✌
Ofcourse. Always start slow, and practice a lot.
Gonna try this on my maruti 800
Make sure you do it on a private, secluded road.
It's sad we don't have any rear wheel drive cars with manuals in India. (Except ECCO and a few SUV's) Those are real drifters. Front wheel drives only slide.
Sigh!
What is the timing you got from 0-100.... It was awesome content though
Since this was a tutorial shoot we didn't time the launches.
Does tyre pressure matters? How much is it?
Better to stick with OEM recommended pressures.
Where can i find season 1 ??
Do check out our playlists.
we have a creta but it has epb, what do i do 😭😭
Oh no! If you are really serious about learning, you can have an aftermarket handbrake installed.
Can't think of any other car as well!
i think Sedans or any more lowered car is better suited for this type of stuff
Meaning of slip the clutch?
Slipping a clutch is essentially "half clutch" driving - where depress the pedal to a point where the clutch isn't completely engaged. Thus, letting it slip a bit.
Been a couple of years since I wrote down my wish to buy XUV300 when they launch a gen 2 version with bigger boot. 😢
That might still be away. Though, why not check out the XUV400, which has a bigger boot?
😍
Hey Ravi, see you at the premiere tomorrow!
Dakar merch where?
heel toe in diesel engine?
Absolutely not a problem.
Is launching diesel engine car not good?
Nothing like that. You just need to know where the torque band is, and launch appropriately. Just make sure you give the car (irrespective of fuel) a rest between launches.
Is this rwd?
The XUV300 is a front-wheel-drive car.
It's easy, close your eyes and turn the steering to your wish 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Haha!
Don’t forget to make wheeee noises also
But it can be done without handbrake. Bcs it can be done by down brake half race half on brake rev and at time release from brake quickly done no need to use handbrake
But that will lock all wheels. The handbrake will only lock the rear wheels and make it easier.
