@@andubarosanu6897 As far as I know the Mongolian government is planning to change it back to the Traditional Mongolian script which is still used in the Inner Mongolian region of China

I listened to "the Hu" band and I really liked it, so I just wanted to understand the basic language structure and srsly I didn't expect that there are Mongolian lessons on YT, by the way, thank you for making this kind of videos

Thank you so much for the video. It is so concise yet so comprehensive! I was trying to learn a song in Mongolian but have noticed people pronounced differently from the Cyrillic script of the Lyrics. Your video helps me understand why they do so, and beyond.
I’m amazed that it’s just the Russian alphabet with a few of the letters having different sounds. Mongolia always seemed wild and exotic to me, but ethnically closer to China than Russia.
Hi, I am shifting to Ulaanbaatar shortly. Started learning Mongolian through your video. It will be be an honour to meet if you are available in Ulaanbaatar.

How to do write in cursive! I have been looking and I found some sources but I really want to learn how to connect in cursive. For example:: Франц → the “ф” ...how does that connect.. Also, what are the rules on capitalizing words? Is it like English?
It's like writing an o, followed by a long line that goes above and under the line, plus another o directly after. If you know how to connect o's, you should be good to go!
Wonderful, thanks. Closest English words to deel would be tunic (Latin origin) or robe (Germanic origin). Deel is like a type of long, folded tunic. However, few people wear tunics any more, so the word is not often used.
Hi , sain bain uu, I am trying to learn Mongolian , this video was useful for me because İ am always finding difficult to diffierantiate O U ö .ü in Mongolian . Because there is vocal harmony if you can't find out first vocal following suffix will be all wrong. So i was stuck. Can you please make a video for similar sounding words in Mongolian. I am listening podcasts and shows hoping to catch up. Thanks .
Hi Zaya! I read news about the Mongolian government is planning to replace all Mongolian Cyrillic alphabet with traditional Mongolian script from 2025. I'm very interested about how native mongolian speakers think about the policy! Are you and other mongolian people able to read traditional Mongolian script? And how will the policy affect your daily lives? How will that affect mongolian learners? Sorry for asking so many questions XD and thank you very much for all your videos about this beautiful language!! :)
We're not replacing the current alphabet, we're gonna use it simultaneously. Even though we've been informed most of us doesn't really concerned about that policy. In case you are wondering about out literacy, it's partly forgotten for people over 40yrs old, because we haven't been using it since Russian Communism took over our country and he were forced to switch to Cyrillic alphabet. I would be glad to answer your additional questions, even teach you basics of Mongolian script, and of course for free :)
May i ask you something ? Why she pronounced "У" and "Ѳ" exactly same ? I mean Ѳ sounds like German or Turkish Ö but the way she pronounced it sounds exactly like "У" . Can you explain it ?
Is there any representation of latin letters corresponding to the Mongolian pronunciation? THis is very confusing for a westerner as we just do not know the Cyrillic alphabet. Thank you for your help.
Isn't there a version of the Mongolian alphabet (from Ghenghis* Khan's time, I believe) that's essentially just Arabic script rotated 90° so that it's read vertically, not horizontally?
So Zeya, what is your thought on discussed conversion to traditional script? Do you accept it or hate it? I seriously hate it, because as I was learning your language with the help of Cyrillic, they will just now decide to discard it and bring back the script, which is sad for me...
Hi thank you for the video, I wish your channel grows. But, if shall ask, the Γ letter, is it pronounced /ge/ or /q/ as in arabic, cause I am pretty sure I heard Γap pronunced as /qar/ (Unless I am mistaken) Thank you for your kind reply

it is called "alphabet", and there is only one of them that you are talking about - no plural; the individual characters are called "letters". Also, you are talking about the Cyrillic alphabet, which is not Mongolian. I was expecting a video about the actual Mongolian script. It is very beautiful and I hope that it one day replaces the Cyrillic like it has been planned

Mongolia language is always full of senses of history and culture which attracted me when I heard Mongolia songs two years ago.
The "L" sound is actually almost identical to "Ll" in Welsh! I'd never heard it anywhere else before this video
Yes I noticed it, too!
Right as I'm interested in learning Mongolian Cyrillic they decide to change alphabets lmao
They do?
