I miss the yearly traveling exhibit the AWS used to put on. Those were awe-inspiring. The Frye Art Museum in Seattle used to host the exhibit. Wonderful presentation, Matthew. Thank you for all your hard work.
Matthew, thanks a lot for your videos! They are very helpful!!! You have a very pleasant manner of speaking and explaining. I always watch your videos with great pleasure! Hello from Germany
Ooh, this is so very important! It is also good to know technical things in watercolor painting, but these big lines need to keep always in mind otherwise you wander off into details. Thank you Matt!
Wow, thank you so much for imparting this foundational stuff that probably applies to any art. These ideas should be reminded of every time when thinking about a painting project.
Love this so much thank you! One thing that I haven't been doing that can help especially applying your tips is simply to check out watercolor artists and collections. My main inspirations ...which are awesome...are not watercolor and although they evoke the passion of style ...color...and painting in general, the mediums do not necessarily transfer to watercolor which make a lot of sense. When you were flipping through the catalog and connecting the tips it was another level of art appreciation and application. I paint as a hobby, but love learning how to improve which results into more options of my own creations. Thank you for always making your tips very relatable and understandable! Happy New Year!!!
Hi Matt. Good points that are helpful. I have joined and am working my way through the course. One small detail to improve- use spell check. It is my curse-details. Amy
Ciao, could you make a video that talks about the harmony of colors and what criteria to use to choose a palette that corresponds to the principle of harmony in the painting? Thank you.
This is a great video. Have you entered the watercolor society? I have been contemplating it but I hate competition so much. I just want to hang out with the big dogs 😬💓
My last name is also white, did your ancestor have brekfast with the first queen Elizabeth by chance? Lol be cool if we're related and also both paint.
