Sun's out so just washed and polished my pristine paintwork. The sound of those branches scraping down the sides were terrifying. I think i'll stick to watch you guys 🤣👍
Haha!! Scratchy scratchy!! Yup I wouldn’t recommend a vehicle with great paint work down those lanes!! Even worse on the trails we did in the dark!! Thanks for watching! And hope you enjoy the channel!! 👍
Cheers bogdan! They certainly where very overgrown weren’t they?? Proper jungle driving like something out of the Jurassic park haha! 👍 enjoy the channel!
Thanks TRJ that byway on the estuary is stunning in the day time! Loads of wildlife ‘wetland area for birds!’ When you get to the end the kids love playing on the beach own private area! So nice for a evening BBQ too!! Thanks for watching hope you enjoy the channel! 👌🏼
I've got my D2 raptor painted on some of the the trims and wrapped in a reasonably thick self healing film all over. So it can take quite a lot of abuse without even marking as long as you don't race through the lanes at speed. However, that dark narrow lane even with the wraps and raptor I'd have to say no thanks to that one! Great video as usual! Hoping to tag along in August!
I took my Vivaro up that concrete lane by accident a few years ago. Shit myself, there was no way I could have reversed out of it with 2ft drops off the side of the concrete. Massive relief when I got out of it.
Wow I bet that was a experience in itself!! I’m glad no one was coming up as we was going down. It’s really tight no room for errors on that one! Thanks for watching hope you enjoy the channel! 🤘
Sadly, without drastic pruning these lanes are soon going to become 'Obstructed to 4x4'. It won't take long for the majority of green laners to avoid them just because they are too scratchy. I wonder what the RR drivers thought a week later? Nice to see some night driving. Looking forward to the next video.
Hi Vincent they were pretty overgrown tracks something out of Jurassic park lol! A little lane care here and there should make them usable the guys with the R/R loved the lanes and the night driving too!! Thanks for watching! 🤘🤘
Sorry to be a bore but.... TD6, Not a TDV6. This is the 3 litre straight 6 out of the BMW E39 which is a lovely engine. The TDV6 in the Disco 3s is a Peugeot 2.7 shit thing 😄
Yeah that v8 sounds sweet!! Always got to love a big bruiser of a engine!! James’s D2 does sound really good too! I think the 5pot diesel is a great sounding diesel! 👍👍
It was really difficult to get out and film on some of those tracks as they were so tight and not enough room to stand back and film! Was very difficult trust me haha!! 😉👌🏼👌🏼
Love the l322, keep thinking of selling my td6 but then I see video like this and think I’ll keep it, although mine does need new tyres, wheel alignment and couple of new top and bottom hub bushes as mine creaks like a old pram at the moment.
Honestly Richard I’d keep it! We’ve had a few l322’s on here now and I’d say they are the next best thing very capable and underrated vehicles!! I’m really tempted to get one myself!! Thanks for watching hope you enjoy the channel..👍👍
@@ALL_4_WHEELS if you can pick one up that’s not got rotten arches or subframe everything else isn’t too bad on them, Ok gearbox’s go but that’s about £2000 for a full rebuild including torque converter where I am in east Manchester so expensive but not the end of the world and once done will probably out live the car.
@@ALL_4_WHEELS seems mixed answers, from what the gearbox place I use say, the torque converter isn’t really up to the job so gradually wears away allowing abrasive dust to contaminate the ATF this then acts like a grinding paste in the gearbox in all the pistons/ solenoids etc until they no longer seal properly and then they lose hydraulic pressure so you lose drive. The place I use said if the torque converter was better then they would be fine as the GM 5 speed is actually a decent and reliable box, they said that the zf 6 speed is better however if the gm box had a good torque converter it would be a better and more reliable box than the zf. I don’t think mine has ever had a rebuild as there’s no paperwork saying so but gearbox place think it will have as they go around 70-110,000 miles mines now on 147,000, I did however find service record for fluid change and iv had it done (about £200) with filter etc. that seems to prolong them. Later post 55 plate 3.6tdv8 have the 6 speed zf but big risk of turbo failure which can cost a lot more than gearbox rebuild, a lot seem to go from 3.0td6 and jump to 4.4tdv8 or a petrol and avoid the 55-09 3.6tdv8. 4.4 v8 diesel are good and best box 8speed zf, but hold there value well, other choice would be 4.2sc with 6speed zf, reliable gearbox and engine. Non though are immune to failure, place I use has done rebuilds on all the gearbox’s, there view is lack of servicing on them and just the weight there lugging about. Don’t let it put you off, for the 5 speed gm just keep couple of grand to one side just incase.
Yes definitely needs a good pruning day along some of those lanes!! Was like a jungle with the vehicles pushing back most of the undergrowth now all users have good access to travel these green lanes thanks for watching hope you enjoy the channel! 👍👍
Hey buddy thanks for watching how’s your truck going? Was really tight around there we don’t normally go around Pembs as it’s very tight and harsh branches everywhere!! Some good lanes though!! 👌🏼
@@ALL_4_WHEELS 2 meters without mirrors but I am packed at 2.40m up and have a soft built tent. I have to watch out for branches, that's why I always carry a saw and an ax 😉
Hi euan we’ve had one come out with us as a support vehicle for the classic Land Rover run you will see it in the vid with the green ambulance as thumbnail. I’m hoping he will be joining us on a proper off-road trip pretty soon! And a real test against other 4x4’s! Have a watch of the 75th anniversary classic Land Rover vid! 👌🏼
Great video thanks, I like the series landys the most, defender's still rock though😊😊😊
Looks amazing fun, love seeing the L322 doing their stuff.
L322’s are pretty cool! Such a capable underrated 4x4! Enjoy the channel! 👍

Thanks Hayden! You would of loved taking the pink panther on these lanes!! 👌🏼👌🏼 enjoy your hols mate look after bomber!!
Nice land 🤟👀
Looks an awesome outing
The jungles of pembrokeshire!! 😆😆👌🏼👌🏼
Crazy to think that byway ever held vehicular rights over it. Be interesting to see the history of it! Great vid👏

That lane looks like something out of jurassic Park lol
It does doesn’t it especially going under that tunnel!! Great lanes very overgrown and unused tracks! Glad you enjoyed it!👍👍

Some proper jungle type trails there! Haha!! Pembs doesn’t get used much as it should that’s why nature likes to take over!!! 🤘🤘
Range Rover V8 is my favorite.

Love the noise of the v8 but d2 is still my favourite

@@ALL_4_WHEELS is nice to see range rovers being used properly. I was looking at buying 1 but a clean d2 caught my attention and bought it instead 😅
Awesome trip, vote the V8 😁
It’s a tough one! Bobbys and rays sounds really good!…. But so does yours and so does a Td5! Haha choices choices!! 🤔👍👍
Yes that was different and interesting. Not sure there was much difference in capability of the different Land Rovers.
It was really difficult to get out and film on some of those tracks as they were so tight and not enough room to stand back and film! Was very difficult trust me haha!!

Yes it must have been awkward but I enjoyed the video.
Thanks Rex will be out again soon in another new area scoping out some new trails! 👍👍
