Jebediah are kind of my little secret band. I've loved them for so long and I think it's awesome to have a band that not a lot of people have heard of. They're so awesome.
I really loved this band when I heard them during my few years down under. When I returned to Europe I DJed in a large Irish pub in Utrecht, NL, and Jebediah was unleashed on the unsuspecting pub. The few Aussies in the crowd were pretty pleased to hear this tune. And the locals got an education in great music.
I'm entirely with you on that, from a Scottish-Canadian perspective. That is one who has lived in each country.... in other words, "I like totally agree. " Yeah, I actually do agree... these bands really do rock my balls!
I grew up listening to these guys on Triple J but never paid much attention to them, as I was more into heavier music. Listening back on it, I love this stuff. The Australian music scene back in the late 90's was awesome.
A great time for Aussie rock: Jebs, Bodyjar, 28 days, Magic Dirt, Frenzal Rhomb, Spiderbait, Regurgitator, Eskimo Joe, Superheist and of course Grinspoon, The Living End, Something for Kate and You am I
I saw Jebediah perform at the New Shoots Music Festival on Kangaroo Island this earlier this year. They were great! While they were performing, a guy from the crowd jumped up on stage and started running around. I managed to get some photos of the incident. Jebediah themselves were completely unfazed. They kept performing like nothing had happened. True professionals.
tough call but i think this may actually be my fave jebs song. I'm so upset that i am not getting to go and see them at airlie for the 20 years celebrations this sunday :-( back in perth in 2000-2004 before bob evans my friends and i used to catch a jebs so almost weekly if feels like. eskimo joe too. so many memories 😍
I so wish I was in that room. Feeling all the energy and passion of the band when the band played this . Still kick myself today for never going to see one of their gigs.
discovered this band last year and more in detail through my network with presidents frontman chris ballew who loved this band who opened for them in 1996 when they played a massive tour of oz. Both bands are hidden gems of the 90s alt scene and made a great pairing for touring, very excited for the torquay gig next week and hope to hear this one...
Bloody hell it's been years and you know who came to mind while watching this? Frenzel Rhomb, I haven't even thought about them for decades, gonna check them out now. Oh my god mum changed the locks, haha
Thank you so much for your music Jebediah! For more than half of my life I have loved you and you have helped me through a lot 💜 your live gigs are the best, and always will be! 🤘🏼😁
Like Someting for Kate, Kevin Mitchell and Co. seem to have tapped into a fountain of youth. They simply don't age. Nor does their music. Bring on the next Jebs record.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE JEBS SONG.... REMEMBER ME FROM METROPOLE HOTEL... INDEPENDENCE DAY GERADLTON.. AND THE MINES AT NEWMAN... I WAS THE CHEEKY ANNOYING FUCKER ALWAYS BUMPING INTO YOU GUYS... you guys RAWK DAWGS
Oh man Homebake and Big Day Out, that brings back memories from high school. Jebediah, grinspoon, something for kate, butterfly effect, superjesus, powderfinger, bodyjar. Jesus but that was a long time ago. I miss it.
So I thought the worst was over When my heart stopped beating again And the weak side of my body has come undone Through trusting them So we walked into the building Took the lift to the third floor Pain lies behind that door what am I to do now? When what they tell me is what they sell me When what they tell me is what they sell me And I know to be realistic Will save me from the shock to come Any fool believes what you tell them Happiness in being dumb So we listened to the experts Everyone needs some kind of guide to help them See deep inside what am I to do now? When what they tell me is what they sell me When what they tell me is what they sell me And it's not the truth But I'm not calming down 'Till my feet touch the ground So I thought the worst was over When my heart stopped beating again And the weak side of my body doubled up I'm never trusting them So don't listen to the experts 'cause I've seen they don't know anything Can you hear the truth ring what am I to do now? When what they tell me is what they sell me When what they tell me is what they sell me And it's not the truth But I'm not calming down 'Till my feet touch the ground No I'm not calming down 'Till my feet touch the ground (Further away everyday Feels like your falling away) No I'm not calming down 'Till my feet touch the ground 'Till my feet touch the ground
Greatest underrated band of the 90's, you start to wonder why?

Austrila,Canada and New Zealand had great underrated bands in the 90's.
Agree. I pitched up in Sydney in 1997, from Ireland, and was amazed at the quality of what I heard on Triple J.
I'm entirely with you on that, from a Scottish-Canadian perspective. That is one who has lived in each country.... in other words, "I like totally agree. " Yeah, I actually do agree... these bands really do rock my balls!
Australia, mate.

THE most underrated band in Oz music history, bar none.
Still the best thing to ever come out of this country. Words can't describe how much I love Jebediah.

Best thing about this band is that everyone can sing along.

This song is just beautiful
I so wish I was in that room. Feeling all the energy and passion of the band when the band played this . Still kick myself today for never going to see one of their gigs.

The drummer is wearing a Bodyjar shirt!
Bodyjar were popular at around the same time as this song if I remember correctly, but I don't remember what songs they released in 2000.

So I thought the worst was over
When my heart stopped beating again
And the weak side of my body has come undone
Through trusting them
So we walked into the building
Took the lift to the third floor
Pain lies behind that door what am I to do now?
When what they tell me is what they sell me
When what they tell me is what they sell me
And I know to be realistic
Will save me from the shock to come
Any fool believes what you tell them
Happiness in being dumb
So we listened to the experts
Everyone needs some kind of guide to help them
See deep inside what am I to do now?
When what they tell me is what they sell me
When what they tell me is what they sell me
And it's not the truth
But I'm not calming down
'Till my feet touch the ground
So I thought the worst was over
When my heart stopped beating again
And the weak side of my body doubled up
I'm never trusting them
So don't listen to the experts
'cause I've seen they don't know anything
Can you hear the truth ring what am I to do now?
When what they tell me is what they sell me
When what they tell me is what they sell me
And it's not the truth
But I'm not calming down
'Till my feet touch the ground
No I'm not calming down
'Till my feet touch the ground
(Further away everyday
Feels like your falling away)
No I'm not calming down
'Till my feet touch the ground
'Till my feet touch the ground
"From SEX SYMBOL to FASHION ICON We can pick a Persons GENDER!!!"
