I listen to Metallica everyday. On the way to work, during my shifts at my two jobs and going home from work, at home when im relaxing and even my man cave has pictures of Metallica and memorabilia all over the place. I'll never stop listening to them. Been listening to them since I discovered them in 1986. My favorite member is Jason Newsted but he left in 2001. I guess next would have to be James and Lars because they are like one musician put together. They compliment each other perfectly. That's what makes Metallica so huge those two are great together. I've seen them live 10 times and wish it could have been 100 but i own every live disc of theirs and have watched them thousands of times each. Metallica never gets old for me even though Iam getting older. I can't wait to get S&M 2 boxset. I took my daughter to it last October and we loved it. The Cliff Burton tribute was a Holyshit moment.
I think there is a reason they won't be playing.again and believe I like all metal Metallica was what really got me into metal acdc first them Metallica then all the rest I hope I'm wrong about what i believe to be true but like they say sad but true!
How on earth do you get to talk with so many fantastic human beings. Cheers dude. Glad James, Kirk and Rob are all good too.. RIP Cliff.. (a Bass God and a True Musician) 🤘
Hej Lasse🙂 Living normal life and enjoying it here in Finland🇫🇮 Thanx my fellow citizens for reacting fast and keeping it cool and hygienic so Covid19 stays away👍
Lars is the best, he inspired me to play drums. Wish I could visit Denmark, as thats my heritage. Always been a dream of mine. To see Metallica there would be legendary! 🤘🏻🇩🇰
I had seen them three times (‘94, and twice in ‘19, including S&M2), and was supposed to see them at Sonic Temple as well. Made me sad. But more important that show was canceled for James’ health. So I was glad he was getting what he needed to be healthy.
A huge part of the music experience is live audience. Groups feed off of that. The audience powers the group. For the sake of the rock and metal groups, a way of coping with these viruses has to be found. Because Lars is right, there is more coming. There will have to be a change in how things are done. Pay per view for streaming? Some kind of theatrical release? Live DVDs would be great. performance caught live and then sold to fans. I know Nightwish Wacken 13 is something I watch with delight.
Even though i don't love Metallica as i used to when i was 12 year old boy, i must admit that Metallica was my entry to this whole Thrash Metal Music journey. If it were not for Metallica, then it would have been impossible for me to get to know other thrash metal bands like Slayer, Exodus, Megadeth and Testament which are much more interesting than Metallica. Furthermore, my introduction to that genre of music also allowed me to get to know scandinavian black metal music and all sorts of Extreme Metal music. So, i thank Metallica very much for offering me that kind of opportunity. I survived my tough and gritty life as a teenager thanks to that kind of music.
Definately NOT the end of any music.. culture and arts evolve as we do. The underground scene will be back and illegal raves won't be too far away.. These music phenomena help to reinvent style and soul. Real soul in music is missed from most new stuff these days. 🤘
Metallica well be back to perform on the stage soon.create more songs and keepsafe I was very interesting what Lars telling us...about 2020 what goin on...
Totally don't get this at all. I've been at the beach every day or hiking with my dog. You can't compare NYC to the US and extrapolate one experience to another. DeBlasio, Cuomo wrecked what was left of The 🍎. Oh yeah, and I just rented a place next to The Bowl with a studio lockout!!!! This middle aged broad is gonna be drumming to you within days. Woot! Yes to stayin' sober. Praying for you as soon as I send this.
The only songs the mainstream really know are Enter Sandman and Nothing Else Matters....but they're a heavy metal band, not a mainstream band so that's to be expected! Metal fans could name you many more Metallica songs!
@Last Christmas I gave u my Fart What exactly have you heard? If you actually think that Sandman is their most memorable song then I highly doubt that you even know the band

Imagine being quarantined at home while James Hetfield sends you unreleased guitar riff .mp3 files
Atleast Kirk isn't in jeopardy of losing his cell phone Lol
Can't remember when and how i found Skavlan but i'm so greatfull!
Spelling treason
How great that his dad is still alive and got to see his son be a part of something amazing as Metallica, he must be very proud.
Watch Some Kind Of Monster, lol. He says the music is trash.
@@hmpz36911 Well he was right. That album was trash
Mr Ulrich is a great person God bless him always and his family and bandmates. God bless METALLICA AND ALL OF YOU READING THIS. STAY SAFE
I'm guessing Blackened 2020 is the first single from the quarantine album, loved it.
No, that is a song that is already released, he means new songs.
Never to play in an arena again? I am so happy I attended to their last three concerts here in Denmark!
I think there is a reason they won't be playing.again and believe I like all metal Metallica was what really got me into metal acdc first them Metallica then all the rest I hope I'm wrong about what i believe to be true but like they say sad but true!
I've been wanting to spend time with Lars at home since 1985. He's a fantastic person.
I am huge fan of Metallica. Hugs from Brazil
‘It’s another good day to be alive’’! Typical danish! Everything is going to be okay! We can ‘’hygge’’ our way out of everything!! I am a dane myself

I was supposed to see them for the first time ever in May and it was canceled 😭😭😭
dont worry... metallica will stay for at least another 10-15 years... you'll get the chance to see them live ;)

6:14 "James Hetfield the singer" LOL
0:29 Okay
This is a very good one! Congrats

So if Lars was still married to Connie Nielsen, the Ulrich family would be living in Denmark right now?
0:29 Ok...
Great Metallica....Rules since 1981!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope all Metallica fans, and the band are safe
"stuck at home practicing" lars ulrich 2020
u know he gonna come back sharp af
Really set himself up for failure with this one
❤and thank God it's over !they're back 😂❤
I was in a very bad shape at that era. Anyways, good interview.
Here he comes now at 0:30.
Very nice!
If only I'd have the band quiz with James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo and Lars Ulrich.
Weird - why doesn't he live in Denmark?
He's lived in the US since he was a kid.
Money, essentially ( surprise) . How many wealthy ( only in $) Rock drummers you know living in Denmark?
Skavlan, instead of Metallica, can you do a special tribute to our all-time favourite Swedish rock group ABBA?... Thank you!
If you take out the "instead", I agree with you. Both are giants!
Captain Pedantic informs me that ABBA were pop, not rock.
Metallica well be back to perform on the stage soon.create more songs and keepsafe I was very interesting what Lars telling us...about 2020 what goin on...
I think I know and it isn't very good but miracles do happen right?
Y'know, I think I actually know

Back to the front...
I like Lars but Ive never been a fan of their music. I find it amazing how popular they are honestly.
Dave Mustaine...is that you? 😂

@@adamski101 Yet many sports fans are subconsciously familiar with Fuel, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Seek And Destroy and many others.
@Last Christmas I gave u my Fart If you think so then you haven't heard much of anything else.

I'm going to boycott this channel as I never hear Danish.
Got to go now - the microwave's ping tells me that my jacket potato's ready.
