Great performance, proud of this great maestro of African indigenous music with exceptional hot complimentary rhythms throughout the section wow! God bless KSA and the crews very tight a group.
I am glad RUclips provided this video on the platform for generations to witness a SHOW! After this tour, I believe the band disbanded. It was tough on every member. It was a long tour - Asia, America, and Europe. The King himself was caught between the rock & hard place. He wanted to get out of his contract back home, so he took his talent overseas. At least for the period where the court said he could not record in Nigeria to opt out of the contract clause. So, one must go where the money is - off to a loooooooong tour. Rightfully so, all members put on artistic show to the best of their talents. This dance routine was an example. Members do not usually do this. It was tiring on the body and vocal cords especially when there was no choreography coach and rehearsals. Just raw natural talents. They realized, this was a show of a lifetime, they demanded more compensation knowing they will never have the same opportunity. Haji Tiamiu (the lead talking drummer) lead the revolt in Germany. Once the center could not hold, “Things fall Apart”. The relationship was never the same.
Haji Tiamiyu said a few years back that he didn't lead any revolt. He said they finished the tour, returned to Nigeria and KSA felt the team needed new hands.
Dear Mr Lolabo, this👆🏼I must state, is a wholly INACCURATE/QUITE UNTRUE account of what actually happened at the time, Sir😏.. N.B: I saw/watched this👆🏼 concert (for the first time), in the year 1987✅️.. . What 'contract' was Sunny Adé trying to 'get out' of?? At the time KSA had this concert(1984), all his record albums in Nigeria were released on his own label(SUNNY ALADE RECORDS)✅️. The Abioro contract saga happened 'bout 1974(10 years b4 this concert), actually✅️. And the concerts (definitely!), were well rehearsed. This was just ONE of several concerts by Sunny Adé around the world that year(1984), Sir. Also, while this was an Electrifying Performance by Sunny Adé(KSA was representing Africa, raising funds then to help Ethiopia fight its severe drought), it certainly was NOT a "show of a lifetime", as you suggested. LoL. Sunny Adé has 'scores' of world class stage performances, on record. Sadly, several of these aren't commercially available. KSA had many more such performances later in 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1994 and way beyond🎸🎵. This time, he willfully introduced the Yamaha DX7(and later KORG) PIANO on stage, for added color. His Pianist was the Eclectic Ghanaian, JONAH WILLIAMS. It is imperative Sir, to put the records straight. PEACE.
King sunny ade change the face of music in Africa to the world...
Excellent performance......kudos

The switch from drumset to percussion after Bob Ohiri dance was too seemless. Class
このコンサートに行きました、あんなに興奮したコンサートは、他にはSANTANAしか思い浮かばない。Talking Drum というのを初めて知りました。この映像はNHKですね、全部見たい!
