- The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are gearing up for a big 2024 season with a somewhat favorable schedule. If the Irish can make it out of College Station with a victory over the Aggies, then they will be in a great position for the rest of the season. Andy analyzes the Irish and their outlook for 2024, also previewing what could be an absolute showdown in the final week of the season.

Thanks Andy. Appreciate a little Notre Dame talk every once and awhile ☘️
Not a bad schedule and I think they really thump aTm to open week-1
Doofus shlonghorn
I’d contend that Ohio State did not have a better defense than ND last year
I agree, they 100% did not. Nd’s defense didn’t lose that game, the offense did. Up until the final 3 minutes of the game, the defense crushed it. If the offense had run the clock down instead of giving OSU 3 minutes to work with, the defense wouldn’t have had to worry about stopping that final drive.
@@SteveKilgore27I think the defense had like 9 or 10 players on the field on the last play I could be wrong tho
@@thrill_lords8409 that’s not the defense’s fault, that’s the coaches fault. Do you think the players chose that? Bro doesn’t know ball.
Also when the defense has made every play possible until the final 3 minutes, and the offense cannot capitalize on it, that’s not on the defense.
With the exception of the Louisville game, ND’s defense dominated every other team. Considering all the bs they had to put up with from the offense (eg. Passing the ball with 3 minutes left against OSU instead of continuing to run it) they are definitely top 3 defense if not number 1 in the country.
Even with the Louisville game, (and even Clemson) half those points were from turnovers too.
Looking at that schedule... honestly wio is gonna best them? First game is hardest... and keep in mind Florida state us coming to South Bend in November! Ever been there in November?? Weather will definitely be at play and not in FSU fsvor.
Notre Dame's WR room returning production from 2023 is 2,980 yards in passing with 23 TD'S and AVG YPC is 15.2 and the average 40 time of the 7 experienced WR's is 4.46 speed WR JAYDEN HARRISON has Tyreek Hill speed and WR Kris Mitchell runs 4.3 🔥☘️
10-2 would be good enough to get into the playoffs. This is Notre Dame. They will bring eyeballs and prestige to the tournament. Regardless of what people want to think, College football is also a tv show. Leaving Notre Dame out with a 10 win season ain’t gonna happen.
Kris Mitchell 1,118 yards 7 TDs
Beaux Collins 510 yards 3 TDs
Jayden Harrison 410 yards 1 TD
Jordan Faison 322 yards 4 TDs
Jayden Thomas 310 yards 2 TDs
Jaden Greathouse 265 yards 5 TDs
Deion Colzie 45 yards 1 TD
2,980 yards total 23 TD'S total RETURNING PRODUCTION☘️
Agree they can only afford one loss. The easy schedule is a blessing and a curse.
I would argue Notre dame had the better defense just not the better offense i would’ve thought their game last year proved that but….
Usc will have less than 6 win by time they get to ND ..Hot take but realistically I don't see them beating LSU, Mich, Penn or Washington.. Minnesota and Rutgers are a given but everything else is a toss. I don't think USC is bad, its the fact that playing in the B10 will require them to adapt on the fly. They won't be playing a high flying offensive/shoot out that they did those years in the P12. they are going to have to be physical week after week and I don't think their first year will be a smooth transition. Im no analyst but it's seem pretty much logic .
To me, TAMU is the toughest game. If ND wins that, I think they go undefeated. Lose it, and the mindset might not be as pumped.
They are Not Going Undefeated....Out of your Mind!
They got a pretty weak schedule
Caleb Williams cleaned up alot of SUC. SUC will be mediocre.
Not really. The schedule isn't that good.
😂 who do they play lol
Super soft schedule
😂😂😂
Best defense is wild
To claim that it's not is wild. ND had the best secondary in the nation last season and a top 3 defense -at worst-in 23' overall. They have almost everyone back and loads of young studs who will finally play significant reps this upcoming season. Pay attention to team statistics, current personnel and portal acquisitions before you chime in with your uneducated & biased opinion? 👍🏽
No chance
So the same ND media felicitation, we see every year; just for them to let their fans down again?
Great ANALysis there buddy. You really brought up relevant data points and listed detailed and educated reasons for your hypothesis there. Nice work, professor! 😂👍🏽
They not ever goin undefeated they goin 10-2
2018 and 2020…
No, and no.
