My favorite band was the Bloodhound Gang when I was 10, even got their CD for Christmas. English is not my first language so I had no clue what they were singing about, favorite song was the one where they danced in Monkey suits (The Bad Touch)
I remembered I showed my sister Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo. She was like, do you even know what this song is about? I was like, yeah, drugs, bad *smh*. 😂
T90 has great music taste. I used to listen to a ton of Avenged Sevenfold but now they are kind of cringey if I listen too hard to the lyrics but the music is awesome. Nowadays though I listen to more Mastodon or Dream Theater and have moved more prog metal.
One Fierce Beer Coaster was the Bloodhound album I was shocked I was allowed to listen to 11. Merry Christmas T90, and I hope everyone in the AoEII community is enjoying the holidays!
as a kid i was literally more interrested in lyrics than the music it self. and that might also explain to you how weird my family thought i was and that did not help me have a good childhood either :p but lyrics is precisely why i was able to have a better life as a child and later, now i don't really listen to music as much anymore.
Our weekly news program in my High School played the instrumental intro to the Bloodhound Gang's "Bad Touch" as their intro/outro music. When I watched the music video and actually listened to the lyrics, I was surprised they got away with that.
The idea that kids shouldn't listen to songs with heavy themes baffles me. As a kid, the themes that I didn't understand went over my head. Additionally, I found great catharsis in acts like Linkin Park. The implication behind T90's POV is that this stuff harms children, which is not the case from my life and I imagine not the case for him too. EDIT: Not meant as criticism, just pointing out that the perspective espoused still comes from a conservative viewpoint.
I'm curious if T90 has listened to Carpenter Brut. Feels like a mix of the metal mentioned here and synthwave music of The Midnight I've heard on stream before.
I had no idea T90 had good taste in music I still have an Atreyu shirt from a bundle I got with Lead Sails Paper Anchor, my wife hates it and wants to get rid of it but I won't let her
your parents did a good job. Heavy metal since i was 14, also didn't care about lyrics, comes with growing up, and even bad taste in music and lyrics is part of growing up. Within certain limits
Been a metal fan for a long time so knew I should not be listening to a lot of the lyrics. Got into metal through Alice Coopers Poison album which at the time I really had no idea what the songs were about. Honestly thought I'm your gun was about a cowboy. Was pretty young when I got that album could have been about 10! On the flip side when I was a teenager I thought Skyclads lyrics were extremely cringy but now think they are genius
When I was a kid, I listened a lot to Dr. Bombay. Though I thought the guy was Indian, it was actually a Swede dressed up in an "Indian" costume, wearing brown makeup. In hindsight, I realise it was pretty racist.
Not being able to listen to some albums is not the most egregious thing parents could do to their kids, like indoctrinating them with some random ass religion
korn, I listened to way too much korn. and their songs can get quite dark. I took my mom's copy of Issues to put onto the og xbox so I could jam out while playing gta san Andreas.
Plenty of music I listened back in the day that my current reaction to their lyrics is pretty much: didn't ask my dude , stfu :/ Specially considering that a bunch of grown ass men get together to write those cringy stuff
Hey im a huge music nerd but yeah your taste seems tilted towards metal/grunge. Anyway im gonna share with you guys a rock song which i think is related to AOE 2 DE but obv has very different meaning. Im rock music lover and this is one of the best lead in the world. Los Javias - La Conquistador. GG
anyone here got into dungeon synth lately? that shit opened a whole new world to me :D
Yes. I've heard a lot on Tales Under the Oak, Delmak-0, Erreth-Akbe, Landsraad, and Trollslottet.
YES it scratches that one itch I didnt know i had

💀💀💀💀💀
We were a bit surprised when the kid from the weird religious family knew all of the words to that one. I'm Aussie. We knew exactly what it was about.
I remembered I showed my sister Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo. She was like, do you even know what this song is about? I was like, yeah, drugs, bad *smh*.
😂
Pumped up Kicks, as a Swiss child i could not speak english and tought its a super happy song
I love that song 11
Where is Fatslob?
Merry Christmas :)
I genuinely didn't know about Semi-Charmed life, it has always been a song I really loved.
🎶Doin' crystal meth'll lift you up until you break🎶
My Mom bought me a Rammstein album for my 10th birthday. I still listen to them.
It's different in the UK. I was born in 94 and was brought up on Eminem, Wu Tang since i can remember. It's not an issue
We weren't all listening to death and black metal in elementary and middle school?

I get why you like Atreyu. They make you feel things.
Would love a music stream as well!
One Fierce Beer Coaster was the Bloodhound album I was shocked I was allowed to listen to 11.
Merry Christmas T90, and I hope everyone in the AoEII community is enjoying the holidays!
bleeding mascara got me into atreyu, but lead sails & paper anchor is one of my favorites to this day! great listen, riffs galore
I liked lead sails paper anchors by atreyu
T90 is more of a Core kid than a metal head
I hope the absolute legend in chat had fun at the Dying Fetus concert. #KYMRYD

Mine was Lily Allen. She's one of the best in writing songs like that. Happy beat, grim lyrics.

A7x always has been and always will be GOAT. Old stuff. New stuff. All of it.

Music stream pls!!
What was your favorite food again as a kid?
A7X 🔥 a little piece of heaven slaps but then you read the lyrics.... 11
Nothing like telling your religious parents you are going to a Rotting Christ concert
Metal is the best kind of music!
Been a metal fan for a long time so knew I should not be listening to a lot of the lyrics. Best video you have ever done.
Music stream! Great taste T90
I was really worried your were going to say you liked Maroon 5 and I'd have to unsubscribe.
T90 where does SABATON fall on your music list?
Not being able to listen to some albums is not the most egregious thing parents could do to their kids, like indoctrinating them with some random ass religion
Yeah, but check what kids listen and speak to them whats wrong with some of that. That's very important
korn, I listened to way too much korn. and their songs can get quite dark. I took my mom's copy of Issues to put onto the og xbox so I could jam out while playing gta san Andreas.
also, to put out a band of recommendation, The Ocean.I highly recommend their heliocentric and Anthropocentric albums
Plenty of music I listened back in the day that my current reaction to their lyrics is pretty much: didn't ask my dude , stfu :/

I hated Nickelback before it was cool.
First!
Didn’t finish the video 11
@andrewstanford4071 11 still haven't. Cut away to listen to Ex's and Oh's for the first time as recommended
@@macgaming001 11 so did I. Not my thing but I think it was good. Ur thoughts?
@@andrewstanford4071 I'm not a metal guy, but I thought it was alright. It's probably more mainstream than their other records going on what he said
