@@tmdiz4579 Probably not any counter harder than an Ornn. Deals high %health to counter Sion's free hp bonus. Rushes armor/hp with bonus stats to take zero damage from lethality items. Can buy them without recalling to deny Sion's tempo tricks. Can facetank _and clear_ waves during proxy very easily. Can bypass Sion's cc and teamfight even better.

That Azir was pretty cracked, and he had great mental too
my current build to Sion is:
1st. Trinity Force (for early farming ,trading and pushing )
2nd. Sunfire or Hollow Radiance (depending on matchups)
3. Ghost blade ( movespeed for roaming and damage + lethality
& the rest is depending on the situation
there are alot of items that still looks good on Sion like Heartsteel but its significantly nerfed because its only scaled based on item HP
Titanic Hydra is soo expensive and the % HP AD is removed so no more lategame snowballing
Warmogs Armor becomes 1300 bonus HP to activate its passive
Deadmans Plate is also good because of added passive "Unsinkable" gives extra 25% slow resists partner this with Speed Boots and you get 75% slow resist
Experimental Hexplate is amazing item too the 20% Ultimate Haste is very useful to Sion because the cooldown of Sion Ult at early level are very long makes you hesitate to use it .

This lethality buff and the heartsteel nerf where it only scales from items might just shift the balance between lethality Sion and tank Sion
Not really - heartsteel wasnt best option for sion anyway and new tank items are quite powerfull so tank for sure will remain better in 99% scenarios however lethality sion will be more valiable this season
EDIT: While some of the below information is true, the originator of this comment thread is correct. Heartsteel now only scales with item HP. However, Riot haven't updated the shop to reflect this so if you hover over it it will still show numbers of last season. However, once you buy it and hover over it in your inventory it will show the correct HP gain and damage.
Build is probably Sunfire Unending Despair Abyssal Visage Jak'Sho for tankiness plus decent CDR for a tank build this season, or replace Visage for Titanic for more damage. Runes standard but back to cheap shot ingenious hunter like in season 10 for faster Undying Despair procs and titanic active cooldowns. If you go the visage route of this build, you will heal about 500 HP per 5 seconds per 52 MR squishy from undying's visage and abyssal MR pen buffed healing. If you go titanic, you'll lose about 60 MR and 10 ability haste, but you'll get a lot more burst. I'm not sure which one is better. Leaning towards titanic now that I think about it, getting inside 5 squishies and healing 2600 HP every 5 seconds with ~2000 stacks and 6 items plus elixir of iron is definitely not a bad feeling though.
And of course, sell boots for Dead Man's or FON as required. 9k for 3 core + boots, 15100 for 5 items plus boots, About 17.5k for 6 items plus Elixir of Iron. Add 500 if you go Titanic.

Heartsteel still scales as a percentage of its on hit damage from what I can see, it deals slightly less damage but gets more of the damage converted to HP so it comes out 0.5 HP per stack behind. It costs 200 gold less so it's basically the exact same item from a HP stacking perspective? Only thing is it's less efficient because it lost 20 AH for only a 200 gold cost reduction. Still, getting it a minute earlier could be considered an advantge particularly in lanes you can rush it, because you could win up 2 stacks ahead of the curve, which is a lot given that it scale recursively with its own stacks.

There are more than 3 champs who like heartsteel, and with it not being a mythic a nerf might of been needed. Sion, Mundo, Volibear, Ornn, Sett, Urgot, Illaoi, Cho, Gnar, Tahm Kench, Maokai, Shen, Gragas, and Sejuaini can all use the item and would scale with the extra health.@@lucasnadamas9317

One thing I think I'm notificing in this season already is that pure dmg dealer are doing a lot more damage and pure tanks feel a lot tankier. And that if you're in this weird in-the-middle place, you're neither doing enough dmg to kill the tanks nor are tanky enough to survive the burst damage.
