  • This is a quick look at the Sony ECM-W2BT wireless mic system. It's just a quick look. If you want a deeper look, let me know.
    Any support is appreciated. Thanks!

The DJI Mic and the DJI Mic 2 should both be compatible with the ZV-1. That is what DJI call them. "DJI Mic" and "DJI Mic 2."

It's really interesting hearing so many reviews talking about how this mic has a horrible noise. It's so hard to believe that Sony, the creator of one of the best mics in music/recording history, just slapped their name on a trash mic. That's kind of a let down, but hopefully they do better in the future.

Yeah, I wouldn't quite say it's horrible, but it was super disappointing. Sony cameras tend to have good pre-amps and they have a long history of making good audio equipment. I returned the first one I received and when support asked me if it was defective, I said I couldn't say for sure, but I couldn't imagine Sony putting out a wireless mic system with this much noise. Unfortunately, the replacement was pretty much the same. It actually seemed like it may have been a tiny bit better, but it may have just been due to my lowered expectations. Either way, it's enough noisier than similarly priced and even less expensive competing systems, that I just don't think it's worth it for me.

And I agree, hopefully they do better next time. If they come out with a "Mark II" with improved noise performance, I'd be interested.

With all due respect this statement is crazy lol. The C800g? Honestly even the C-100 and the C-80 are also great, but the C800g is literally one of, if not the best microphone ever.

@@EricAroundTheWorld389 Fair enough, and I wasn't aware of these models. But they are by 'Sony Professional' and totally outside the realm of this comparison/discussion. The top mic you mention looks to cost over ten thousand dollars (!!!) , and even the cheapest one is five or six hundred bucks. Within the realm of consumer/prosumer rmicrophones, I really don't think Sony has historically or consistently distinguished itself.
