Hi Cal, about 20 something years ago at the Theatre in Norwich you could get a ticket for just a couple of pounds if you didn't mind sitting in the back row of the balcony. I used to go most Monday nights whatever was on. I got to see "Blood Brothers" and it was a fantastic show. Once or twice there would be a high brow play and I would leave at interval time but I got to see all kinds of shows and mostly enjoyed it..
Hi Graham, back in the 90s I used to go to the theatre in Norwich most Monday nights. You could get a seat in the back row upstairs for just £2 in those days. They used to get a lot of west end shows there when they came out on tour and that's how I first came across "Blood Brothers" I loved it and bought a CD on the night.
Hi Ian, I love The Shadows and was lucky enough to see them live on their 30th anniversary tour. Old Hank can certainly play a bit. I'm starting off my "Humbug Free Zone!" on Sunday but right after that I'll have a go at one of their tunes.
The guitar tone is powerful, mellow and wonderful. I saw someone with a guitar, is he your great-grandfather or a strange gentleman? He looks like he enjoys playing the guitar. (^0^)
Hi chaw, I got to see the show "Blood Brothers" about 25 years ago and it was amazing. That's the strange gentleman cropping up again, he tends to show his face if he likes the tune. My great grandfather (and the not so great one) only popped up as ghosts at Halloween.
Hi Jim, this one is maybe not so well known as some of the classic west end tunes. Back in the 90s I used to go to the theatre in Norwich on a Monday night because you could get a seat in the back row upstairs for £2 on a Monday in those days. I used to go whatever was on. One week it was"Blood Brothers" and I loved it. I bought the CD while I was there. Sometimes it might be a high brow play and if I got bored I'd leave at interval time but I saw some great stuff too during that time. I was trying to make a living from music in those days so I figured by watching all kinds of different entertainers doing their stuff there was always something to learn from them.
thanks for your great sharing dear friend
Sweet Sweet sounds for a Sunday morning!

Not familiar with this tune. Nicely played Rod.
