I am a teacher and my class wanted to watch Nemo, the clownfish movie, played them Nemo the song in stead. I have seen the musical phantom of the opera in London, it was great.
I feel like opera rock is so underappreciated and underrated. This is pure beautiful chaos. It is so intoxicating. I feel like she portrays the Christina that would've chosen the Phantom.
And I feel Marco fits as a perfect matching Phantom. I grew up with the Broadway play and have the original actors soundtrack. Sarah Brightman is a great singer. Tarja does an awesome job in this version. I can almost picture her playing Christine.
Everyone can talk about Tarja’s vocals (which are absolutely splendid, by the way) But Marco steals the show for me. To have that sort of range, that tone, and that guttural and gross growl whenever he hits the “theeerreee.” Plus his performance natural voice are both just so beautiful. Definitely underrated.

nightwish lost so much when Tarja was let go. I liked Anette, and like Floor even more, but Tarja captured a certain spirit of the music that the other two can't touch. Nightwish used to sound like such a blend of world colliding, now it's just slightly more conventional sounding for my liking, but I still love Nightwish.

This is the result of ego and jealousy run amuck. You have a band leader who prefers to lead from behind and put others out front to be the face and voice of the band, but simply has an ego too fragile to deal with the consequences of that decision. There are other band leaders who manage to pull that off, like Steve Harris and Ion maiden. However, to do that successfully the leader has to be someone who doesn't need to be the center of attention and doesn't have such a fragile ego. tuomas is just way too full of himself and his ego is too fragile for this to work. That's why the vocalist position in this band is a revolving door. They're on heir third vocalist already and in time she'll wind up getting the boot also unless she wises up and leaves before it happens.

The reason I like Tarja more than Jansen is not because I think she's better, it's because I like the mix of classical and rock style that Nightwish had. Jansen fits more in a rock genre, but Tarja was more classical and I love it

Dirty Hands TARJA is a better overall front women though Floor is more versatile there is no denying Tarja is a unique and ever present. I started listening to Nightwish knowing only Floor. Until I started discovering old Nightwish with TARJA. And to be fair this song is a perfect match for her.

The reason I like Tarja more than Jansen is not because I think she's better, it's because I like the mix of classical and rock style that Nightwish had. Jansen fits more in a rock genre, but Tarja was more classical and I love it

Dirty Hands TARJA is a better overall front women though Floor is more versatile there is no denying Tarja is a unique and ever present. I started listening to Nightwish knowing only Floor. Until I started discovering old Nightwish with TARJA. And to be fair this song is a perfect match for her.

I keep coming back to this version of Phantom of the Opera....the powerful soprano voice, so much texture and depth in her voice; this is the real opera sound, not pop, and it's absolutely spellbinding and beautiful.....this version just makes every other version sound 'cute' but simply not enough

RUclips introduced me to nightwish after I watched the Gary Moore classic “over the hills and far away”. Then I was blown away by the nightwish cover.... no regrets.
