- Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena of Broadway's Wicked perform "As Long As You're Mine" at Broadway in Bryant Park on August 8th, 2013.
Three reasons I want to be Lindsay Mendez:
1. Her voice
2. Playing Elphaba on Broadway
3. Kissing Derek Klena
when i met derek after anastasia and talked to him about wicked and klendez (along with other things about anastasia of course) he said "we actually really liked each other so it made everything a lot better!" and i love how close they were. the chemistry is so perfect and they are my favorite elphie and fiyero duo. both of their voices were great then and are *great* now. i love these two so much aghhh!!!
Best Elphaba and Fiyero chemistry, hands down.
Agreed. I would only see Wicked again if Lindsay, Donna Vivino, or Willemijn Verkaik was Elphaba

He's mostly known now as Anastasia's Dmitry, but he's been on Broadway even before, when he was still so young and people his age were still being an understudy or ensemble. This just proves how talented Derek is.

Best Elphaba ever! I love her so much! The first time and only time i watched Wicked. It was Lindsay and Derek. I cried every time she sang I can see her passion. Especially on defying gravity I went into full on tears!
I hate that I can’t find clips of her singing defying gravity anymore.
But she and Idina Mendzel are my absolute favorite Elphaba’s!

This was amazing.. They are so awesome together and their chemistry is so natural and honest.. Loved seeing this, but nothing beats being in the audience seeing them perform Live on stage in full costumes, which I did!!! Yay!! I loved this so I'm just going to keep fangirling.. And hitting repeat, then watching the Wizard and I.. Lindsay Mendez is just magnificent!!! Love her!!!

My favorite Elphaba/Fiyero duo has been Jessica Vosk and Ryan Mccartan, but seeing this video, Derek and Lindsay are coming in real close in second place because their voice paired with their chemistry is amazing! Wish I had had the chance to see them together in the show as well. Fantastic.
