In the 2nd Call once, the Ref notices the ball off the body and VAR keeps trying to make it a PK vs admitting his error and ending the review causing an additional delay in the restart of play. On the 3rd call PRO needs to be clear and say, "The VAR did NOT have clear and obvious evidence and should NOT have recommended a review for no goal". If the goal of this series is to be transparent than stop defending or justifying errors by the VAR and Refs and call them out publicly and admit they are human and just got the call wrong.

I feel like it shouldn’t matter if it goes off the body first. He made himself bigger with his arm. His arm blocked a shot on goal. I think according to the rules they made the correct call. Just find the rule to be kinda dumb.

But the arm didnt block the shot on goal his body did. And then the ball went off his body into his arm that is why it isnt a hand ball@CLBCrew96

@@kcsniper1243 Blocking the shot is not relevant to handling or not. It is a consideration for discipline, but that is different.

The call in the Austin game is very wrong for even more than what was said in the video. They are saying that the Vancouver player's foot is in front of the defender's but only the defender's RIGHT foot is visible. His left foot is behind the attacker, and you can actually look to see a sliver of it poking out in front of the attacker. They got far too fixated on what they could see and never bothered to look at another angle to look at what they couldn't see. Really bad confirmation bias.

No, you can't. If you follow the motion, his foot was NOT in front at the point of contact. Watch then they go forward, then back you will see his running path and you will see that his left leg is behind the BACK leg of the attacker.
